BOOSANT Ceiling Fan 60-Inch

App, voice, and remote controls make this 60-inch BOOSANT ceiling fan easier to adjust without getting up, while its reversible DC motor and three light color settings add flexibility for a covered patio or porch. You can change fan speed and lighting separately, which is useful when you want airflow without bright light or need a different setting after sunset. The listing also describes the finish as moisture-resistant, but positions the fan for covered outdoor areas rather than unrestricted exposure to the weather.

Fit and sizing

The 60-inch size is the main fit detail to consider. Before choosing it, compare the listed fan size with the room or covered patio and leave enough clearance around the blades, the product information does not give a full set of installed dimensions. It includes 5-, 10-, and 15-inch downrods and supports sloped ceilings up to 15 degrees, giving you a few mounting options. The description doesn’t specify a minimum ceiling height, so that measurement still needs to be judged against your space.

For everyday use, imagine sitting on a porch and lowering the fan speed from a rocking chair with the remote, then switching the light to a warmer setting as the evening gets darker. App and voice controls are also listed, including Alexa and Google Assistant. Would those controls matter more than having a simpler fan with a basic wall switch? If you often adjust airflow or lighting from across the room, they may make the added features worthwhile, if you rarely change settings, they may be less useful.

Pros

The six-speed control gives you more adjustment than a fan with only a few fixed settings, and the reversible motor adds another way to manage airflow. The light offers warm white, neutral white, and daylight color temperatures, with dimming from 10% to 100% and a memory function for the preferred setting. That range can make one fixture work for relaxed porch lighting and brighter task lighting.

The listing specifies maximum airflow of 6,000 CFM and describes operation at 29 dB, also giving a noise figure of under 30 dB elsewhere in the description. Treat those as listed figures, not a guarantee of how loud or powerful the fan will seem in every installation. It also claims energy savings of up to 75% compared with traditional AC motors, but doesn’t provide the conditions behind that comparison.

Buying verdict

It’s a great fit if you want a large fan for a covered porch or patio and expect to use remote, app, or voice adjustments along with flexible lighting. The downrod choices and sloped-ceiling support are useful details for installations that don’t have a flat, standard ceiling. Without having tried it, the product information suggests a feature-rich setup, but it doesn’t establish how airflow or noise will feel in your particular space. It may not suit you if the location is exposed directly to rain, or if you want a basic fan without smart controls and multiple light settings. For an uncovered area, look for a model specifically described for direct weather exposure, this one is presented for indoor or covered outdoor use.
