Blackdog OT9 Dog Training Collar with Remote, 4 Modes, IP67, 4,200-Foot Range
Product description
For training in a park, on a hike, or around a large outdoor space, the Blackdog OT9 pairs a remote with four selectable modes and a stated range of up to 4,200 feet. Its remote flashlight and collar-mounted strobe also help with visibility when daylight fades, while the adjustable nylon strap is designed for dogs from 5 to 150 pounds.
The collar is IP67 waterproof and offers adjustable beep, vibration, and shock levels, plus a strobe mode. A built-in LCD shows the selected mode and battery level.
On-body feel
The nylon strap adjusts from 8 to 25 inches, so you can set the fit for a range of dog sizes. Its buckle closure makes it easy to fasten, and the collar’s stated size range is 5–150 pounds. For a comfortable, secure fit, adjust the strap around your dog’s neck according to the collar’s fitting guidance.
Strengths
The OT9 gives you several ways to reinforce a cue from the remote: beep levels 1–8, vibration levels 1–16, and shock levels 1–99. The strobe adds a visual signal, and the built-in LCD makes it easier to see which mode and level you have selected. A safety button helps prevent accidental activation during handling.
For nighttime walks or training in dim outdoor areas, use the remote’s flashlight to scan nearby surroundings and activate the collar’s strobe to make your dog easier to spot. What helps when your dog moves beyond arm’s reach? The remote’s stated 4,200-foot range is intended for training across open spaces such as parks, beaches, and trails.
Compared with a basic single-signal collar, the OT9 combines multiple training cues with lighting features in one remote-controlled setup. Buyers often highlight the range of settings, ease of use, flashlight, and rechargeable battery as useful parts of their training routine. These are customer impressions, while the listed battery life is up to 90 days based on one hour of daily use. The collar charges via USB-C, with a stated two-hour fast-charge time.

The OT9’s different signal options, no-shock configuration, outdoor-rated design, and stated long battery life make it a practical match for training sessions that move from the yard to parks, trails, or other open spaces.
