Best Choice Products SKY7174 61-Key Beginner Keyboard Set with Teaching Modes

A first keyboard makes it easier to explore melodies at home, and this 61-key beginner set brings the instrument, stand, music stand, and padded stool together for a ready-to-arrange practice space. Its three teaching modes give new players a guided way to follow along and build familiarity with the keys.

The LED screen, built-in speakers, and headphone jack support different ways to play, while a recorder with playback lets learners listen back to their music.

The essentials

The Best Choice Products SKY7174 is an electronic keyboard designed for beginners, with 61 keys and a portable format. Its One-Key, Follow, and Ensemble teaching modes offer different ways to engage with a lesson: play along with a simplified prompt, follow a melody, or take part in a fuller arrangement. Which mode suits a practice session can change as a player grows more comfortable with the instrument.

There is room to explore beyond lessons, too. Choose from 24 demo songs, 255 timbres, 255 rhythms, and 32 percussion sounds to try different musical styles and build accompaniment around a melody. Built-in speakers make it possible to play aloud, while the 3.5 mm headphone jack offers a quieter way to practice. Buyers often describe the keyboard as approachable for beginners and easy to set up, feedback on sound and reliability is mixed, so experiences differ.

The set includes a keyboard stand, music stand, power adapter, padded stool, headphones, microphone, and recorder with playback. That bundled setup is useful when putting together a beginner practice area, rather than selecting a keyboard and its basic accessories separately.

Getting the most from it

Use the teaching modes to make practice interactive, then switch to demo songs or experiment with timbres and rhythms when it is time to explore. The LED screen helps make the keyboard’s functions part of the playing experience, and the recorder with playback gives learners a way to revisit what they have played. For singing or playing along with music stored on a USB device, connect the microphone and use the keyboard’s music-player function.

How to use it

Place the keyboard on its H-style stand, arrange the music stand for sheet music, and use the included power adapter to set up the instrument. Start with a teaching mode or a demo song, then try different sounds and rhythms to shape a practice session. Play through the built-in speakers for shared listening or connect headphones through the 3.5 mm jack for individual practice. The included padded stool completes a dedicated place to sit and play.
