Bates Choice ETGA006B307 Paint Brush Set, 6 Pieces, Flat and Angled

A single brush size may suit a focused touch-up, while a project that moves between broad areas and edges calls for more flexibility. The Bates Choice ETGA006B307 set includes both flat and angled brushes in several widths.

It is listed for interior painting and stain application, with oil- and latex-based uses noted in the product details. The wooden handles and mix of natural bristles and synthetic filaments make it a practical set to consider for walls, trim, cabinets, and doors.

What does the range of shapes and sizes offer in everyday use? It lets you choose a narrower angled brush for detail work or a wider flat brush for larger areas, without relying on one brush for every part of the job.

Where it shines

The set contains three flat brushes and three angled brushes. The flat sizes are 1", 1.5", and 2", the angled sizes are 1.5", 2", and 2.5". That mix is useful when a project includes both open surfaces and corners, trim, or other areas where an angled edge may be easier to guide. The listing names walls, cabinets, doors, and staining projects as intended uses.

For example, someone painting a room could reach for a wider flat brush on a larger section, then switch to an angled brush for an edge or a narrower area. Compared with buying one brush for a single task, this assortment offers more choices within the same set. Buyers’ comments often highlight use on smaller projects, ease of cleaning, and reuse, feedback on bristle shedding is mixed, so expectations on that point should be measured.

The essentials

• Set: 6 brushes, including 3 flat and 3 angled
• Sizes: Flat, 1", 1.5", and 2", angled, 1.5", 2", and 2.5"
• Materials: Natural bristles, synthetic filaments, and wood
• Handle: Wood
• Listed paint types: Oil and latex

The product description says the bristles are designed to hold paint and support a smooth finish. Actual results depend on the paint, surface, and technique, so the set’s range is a more dependable reason to choose it than any guaranteed finish claim. Worth considering if you want several brush shapes and widths for a mix of painting and staining tasks. You may want to skip it if you only need one specific brush size and would rather select a single tool.

Care & maintenance

The brushes are described as ready to use, easy to clean, and reusable. That makes the set suitable for projects where keeping brushes for later tasks matters. The listing does not specify a cleaning method, so follow the directions for the paint or stain being used rather than assuming one approach works for every medium. Buyers also mention cleaning and reuse positively, although reports about loose bristles vary.

What to clarify

Which brushes are included? There are three flat brushes in 1", 1.5", and 2", plus three angled brushes in 1.5", 2", and 2.5".

What kinds of projects are listed? The set is described for interior painting and stain application, including walls, trim, cabinets, doors, decks, and fences.

Can the brushes be used again? The product details describe them as easy to clean and reusable. The listing does not give a specific cleaning procedure.

Is it worth it?

This set makes most sense when one project calls for more than one brush width or both flat and angled shapes. Its usefulness comes from that variety, along with the stated wood handles and oil- and latex-based applications. For a one-off task that needs only a particular size, a single brush may be the more direct choice, for a broader mix of interior painting or staining jobs, the six-piece assortment gives you more ways to match the brush to the area.
