Barnyard Designs Border Rectangle Coir Doormat, 24 x 36 in, Non-Slip

A wider front-door entrance calls for a mat with room to catch everyday dirt and give guests a steady place to wipe their shoes. The Barnyard Designs Border Rectangle Coir Doormat measures 24 x 36 inches and has a natural coir surface with a non-slip backing.

Its plain coir center and double border bring a warm, understated look to a covered porch, sheltered entryway, or indoor entrance. The rectangular shape suits a wider single-door area, with space for two people to stand side by side.

Choose this format when you want a substantial entry mat for a broader doorway, a smaller mat makes more sense when floor space is the priority. Coarse coconut fibers scrape dirt and debris from shoes before they reach indoor floors.

How it fits

The 24 x 36-inch rectangle is sized for front entrances and other wider doorways. Use it at a covered front door, porch, mudroom, cabin, or RV entrance to create a defined spot for wiping shoes. The natural coir weave provides a textured surface for everyday foot traffic, while the PVC backing helps keep the mat in place as people wipe their shoes.

The clean double-border design frames the natural-fiber surface without lettering, so it adds a finished welcome without making a message the focal point. It works for shoppers who want a practical shoe-scraping surface with a simple, traditional look rather than a decorative mat centered on printed text.

Where it shines

Coir’s coarse plant fibers help lift mud, dirt, and debris from footwear at the threshold. That makes the mat useful for busy arrivals from the yard, porch, or driveway, particularly when you want to keep a clear boundary between outdoor shoes and interior floors. Its low pile and flat-woven construction give it a straightforward profile for an entryway.

Keep the mat under a covered entrance and out of direct rain. Coir absorbs water and may release natural color when wet, so use a protective undermat if needed, bring it indoors before heavy rain, and let it dry fully if it gets wet. Shake it out weekly, for spot cleaning, use a soft brush and mild detergent, and avoid soaking or machine washing.

Customers often praise the mat’s appearance, size, thickness, and sturdy feel. Feedback on long-term durability is mixed, and some buyers report discoloration after the mat gets wet, making sheltered placement and the care routine especially relevant.
