ASTARIN Wind Chimes, 45-Inch

Best use cases

If you want outdoor décor that also makes its presence known through sound, these 45-inch ASTARIN wind chimes lean toward a deeper, fuller tone rather than a small, delicate tinkle. They’re designed for a garden or another sunlit outdoor spot, and the six aluminum tubes are tuned to a pentatonic scale. The listing describes the sound as deep tenor and bass, with a relaxing, bell-like character.

They can also serve as a memorial or sympathy gift, or mark a housewarming, wedding, or birthday. It’s a great fit if the recipient would appreciate a substantial hanging piece with a gentle sound and a personal meaning.

Product specs

The chime has six aluminum tubes, with the longest measuring 22.2 inches and a stated diameter of 1.2 inches. The listing gives the overall product size as 45 inches. It also describes an aluminum hook, top, and pendulum, plus heavy-duty nylon cording and a high-density striker. The tubes are powder-coated, and the metal components are described as having an anodized bronze finish, the product name also lists Black, so the finish and color wording isn’t entirely clear.

Each tube is described as hand-tuned, and the set is tuned to a pentatonic scale. The listing also mentions an adjustable bell length that can change the sound’s scale, though it doesn’t explain how that adjustment works. Without having tried it, the exact tone in a particular yard is hard to predict: wind and placement will affect how often the chimes sound and how noticeable they are.

Where it shines

The main appeal is the combination of decorative scale and a lower-pitched sound. For example, hanging it where it catches a breeze beside a garden seating area could add intermittent, soft notes without needing a powered speaker or another active garden feature. Its reflective surface is also intended to catch light, which may suit a spot with direct sun.

Compared with choosing a smaller, lighter chime mainly for a subtle accent, this one makes more sense when you have room for a 45-inch piece and specifically want a deeper tone. That size is also a real consideration: it may dominate a compact balcony or a crowded hanging area. If your priority is a very quiet ornament, or you have limited space, a smaller design is likely the more practical direction. Better avoided if you need a compact accent or want predictable sound regardless of wind.

Final verdict

The ASTARIN is worth considering for a garden or outdoor space where a large, six-tube chime can hang freely and its low, tuned sound is part of the appeal. Its memorial-gift angle gives it a clear purpose beyond decoration, while the aluminum construction and stated tuning provide useful detail for comparing it with simpler chimes. The trade-off is that the listing doesn’t establish how the tone will carry in your particular setting, and the sizable format needs room. Choose it for scale, a deeper sound profile, and a meaningful gift, skip it if you want something small, discreet, or precisely predictable.
