Wodondog Retractable Stair Gate 3m
Product description
Highlights
A retractable safety gate with a 3 metre mesh barrier, the Wodondog model suits wide hallways and stairways where a standard gate falls short. It combines one handed, quiet operation with a compact rollaway design, so you can hold a child while opening the gate and the mesh tucks away unobtrusively when released. This product is presented as a solution for wider openings and everyday home use.

Why it’s worth it
The gate uses a double locking mechanism that requires a push down and rotation to lock, and a rotation and pull up to unlock, which offers an added layer of security in case of accidental release. The mesh is described as strong yet soft, reducing the chance of injury if a child or pet bumps into it. According to the manufacturer, components meet or exceed ASTM and EN safety standards, and materials are non toxic and odour free. A minor point to note is that very narrow or uneven mounting surfaces may need careful measurement before installation.
Practical tips
The retractable roll stores neatly when not in use, saving space compared with traditional framed gates. It operates with a simple two step motion that one adult can use while holding a child, which makes day to day routines easier. It’s a good fit if you need a temporary or semi permanent barrier for wide openings, and it makes sense if you want a gate that doubles as a pet barrier for smaller dogs according to the stated weight range. Worth considering if you prefer an unobtrusive, grey finish that blends with most interiors. 😊🍼
