eSynic 8 Pack Child Safety Window Locks 8-piece

Key points

These eSynic window restrictors help control how far a sash can open, reducing the risk of falls and escapes. The pack comes with eight restrictors, eight release keys and 32 self-tapping screws, so you can fit several windows around the home or office without a separate trip to the shop. They let you keep windows slightly ajar for ventilation while limiting movement for safety, which is useful if you have young children or pets.

Tech specs

• Name: eSynic 8 Pack Child Safety Window Locks
• Type: Window restrictor
• Material: ABS lock body, stainless steel cable
• Capacity: 8 restrictors, 8 release keys, 32 screws
• Compatibility: UPVC, wood, aluminium windows

Benefits

The design balances security and convenience, with a release key that allows adults to open the window fully when required. The stainless steel cable gives noticeable strength, and the ABS housing keeps the units lightweight and corrosion resistant. According to the manufacturer, these parts are built to withstand regular use, though for very heavy or unusually large windows you may want to check mounting points first. The multipack reduces repeated purchases and offers straightforward replacement should a unit get damaged.

How to use it

Fitting is straightforward and usually takes only a few minutes per window using the supplied screws and a screwdriver. For most installations, position the lock so the cable limits the opening to the preferred distance, fix both ends with the self-tapping screws and test with the key. It’s a good idea to check fixings periodically and replace any unit that shows wear.

You’ll like it if you want a simple, cost-effective way to limit window opening and maintain ventilation without major alterations to frames. For very specialised windows, professional advice may be sensible.
