derimkcoa Retractable Stair Gate 86cm
Product description
Key points
A retractable mesh stair gate that balances everyday safety and convenience, the derimkcoa model is 86cm tall and extends to 140cm wide for wider openings. It suits doorways, hallways and the top or bottom of stairs, and the mesh rolls away when not in use so you keep sightlines and floor space clear. The one-handed locking action lets you open or secure the gate while holding a baby or carrying items, and the lack of a bottom rail removes a common trip hazard.

Why it’s worth it
The gate’s retractable design is practical if you move frequently between rooms or want an unobstructed threshold when adults pass through. The top locking mechanism requires a deliberate push and turn, offering reassurance that the gate stays closed against curious toddlers and small to medium pets. Do note that the product needs hardware mounting and drilling for a secure fit, which may not suit renters without permission.
Best use cases
Use this gate where a clear, temporary barrier is needed but a fixed framed gate would feel intrusive. It works well on wider openings where standard gates fall short, and outdoors under a covered porch as well as indoors according to the manufacturer. It’s recommended for children aged 6 to 24 months and pets from about 4.5 kg to 18 kg. It comes with brackets, latches, wall anchors and screws to help with a straightforward installation.
Care & maintenance
Wipe the mesh and mounting components with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then air dry. Regularly check the fixing points and the locking action to ensure continued safety, and tighten fittings if any movement appears. Lifelong technical support is offered by the manufacturer should you need guidance or replacement parts. 🧸🔧
