Why it’s worth it
The piece is made from carefully selected natural bark that the manufacturer describes as non-toxic and sturdy. Its rough texture helps reptiles grip and explore, and the irregular shapes create visual interest in a tank. Bear in mind that, as this is an organic product, individual pieces will differ in shape and size which can be an advantage if you want varied terrain but requires checking before purchase.
Best use cases
Place the bark against the terrarium glass or on substrate to form a climbable route and a tucked hide. It suits small snakes and lizards that need both vertical and sheltered spaces. It’s a simple way to enrich an enclosure, adding both function and a more natural look.
Care & maintenance
Wipe clean with a damp cloth and allow to dry thoroughly before returning to the tank, avoid soaking which may affect the bark. Replace if signs of mould or excessive wear appear, as hygiene is important for small reptiles.
