Swann EVO Wi-Fi security camera 2K PTZ
Product description
A Swann EVO Pan-Tilt Wi-Fi security camera gives you a practical way to monitor a home or business without being glued to a live feed. With 2K HD video and pan tilt movement, it helps you keep an eye on what matters, while night vision and motion detection support round-the-clock awareness. The built in siren, two way talk, and weatherproof build add extra confidence for everyday security routines, whether you are checking deliveries, monitoring entries, or keeping watch when you are away.
What to know
This Swann EVO Wi-Fi security camera is designed for flexible coverage thanks to its pan and tilt motion with auto tracking. It can actively follow moving objects with smooth left and right pan and up and down tilt movement, so you are not limited to a single fixed view. For wider areas or specific points of interest, the camera’s control lets you adjust what it shows from the app.
You also get 2K HD video for clearer detail in ambient light and in B&W during low light and night time, which can make it easier to interpret what is happening. The system is powered Wi-Fi, so you connect to your Wi-Fi network and use the app controls to manage what the camera sees. It is also described as weatherproof, which is important when the setup is outdoors or exposed to typical UK conditions.
At night, infrared night vision supports viewing up to 32ft or 10m in B&W, according to the manufacturer. True Detect technology combines heat and motion detection, which is intended to reduce false alarms compared with motion only triggers. It supports free recording with local storage when you add a compatible MicroSD card, helping you review events without paying an ongoing subscription fee.
Key features
One of the standout practical features is the pan tilt coverage of 355° and 65° tilt, paired with auto tracking. That combination is useful when movement happens across a broader scene, such as a driveway, a reception area, or the approach to an exterior door. Smooth tracking can reduce the need to manually steer the camera each time something moves.
For image clarity, the camera is specified with 2K Quad HD resolution. According to the manufacturer, it is designed to deliver colour in ambient light and B&W in low light and night time. This matters if you want the same camera to handle both daytime identification and after dark monitoring.
True Detect technology is another key element. It combines heat and motion detection to help minimise false alarms, so you spend less time dismissing incorrect alerts. On top of detection, the camera includes a siren, which can be used to draw attention when an event is detected.
There is also two way audio for communication. With compatible devices, you can speak with someone near the camera, which can be helpful for delivery drop offs, checking visitors, or responding to an unexpected situation. Easy app integration through the Swann Security app supports everyday control from your mobile.
Setup is described as straightforward. You plug into the mains and connect to your Wi-Fi network, then you can start using the camera in minutes, removing the need for separate power cables. For storage, the camera supports adding a MicroSD card for reviewing and storing footage locally, which is positioned as free recording without additional monthly payments.

Who it’s for
It’s a good fit if you want a Wi-Fi security camera that covers a broader view without relying solely on a fixed lens. It suits households and small businesses that need night vision plus motion detection, and you value app controlled panning and tilt movement. It also makes sense if you prefer local footage review and storage by adding a MicroSD card instead of relying on a subscription model for recording.
You may want to skip it if you are looking for a model that provides video features not mentioned in the listing, such as specific AI analytics or particular cloud storage plans. It may not be a great match if you need a purely battery powered camera, as the setup is described as mains powered. Keep an eye on compatibility for the two way audio experience, since it relies on compatible devices for communication.
If you prioritise clear 2K video, pan tilt tracking, and practical alerts like the siren, this EVO camera is worth considering for day to day monitoring of key areas around your home or business.
