Smoke Alarm 10 Years Battery, EN14604 Certified

This smoke alarm with a 10 years battery offers continuous fire detection for domestic spaces and helps reduce false alerts thanks to split-spectrum sensing, making it suitable for living rooms, hallways and bedrooms. It combines a modern, low-profile appearance with a loud 85 dB alarm to alert occupants quickly when smoke is detected.

Key Points

This pack of three WISUALARM smoke alarms uses split-spectrum technology to distinguish between smoke, steam and dust, which helps lower the frequency of false alarms. The units include a large test and silence button for easy local control and can also be muted remotely with a compatible infrared remote control, although a remote is not supplied. 🏠

Installation is straightforward and does not require wiring. Each alarm can be attached to the ceiling using the supplied double-sided adhesive for a quick fit. The sound reaches around 85 dB at 3 metres, so occupants in adjacent rooms should hear the alert. 🔊

There is a long-lasting sealed lithium cell that, according to the manufacturer, provides up to 10 years of service life. The product carries certification to EN14604 and bears UKCA marking, with additional TUV testing reported by the manufacturer. A five-year manufacturer warranty is offered and the brand states it maintains local after-sales support within the EU.

Usage Recommendations

Place the alarms on ceilings in circulation areas and sleeping zones, avoiding direct positioning over cookers to reduce nuisance triggers. If you expect frequent steam from bathrooms or cooking, consider locating the units a short distance away from those sources to further reduce unwanted activations. Also check that the adhesive surface is clean and dry before fitting for a secure hold.

When silence is required during a false alarm, the large button makes local muting simple and an infrared remote from common household devices may also work for remote silencing. Note that the remote is not included, so verify compatibility with your existing remotes if remote muting is important to you. ⚠️

Consider that sealed 10-year batteries are designed to be non-replaceable, so the whole unit will need replacing at the end of the battery life according to standard practice for sealed long-life alarms.
