What you’ll notice day to day
Installation is swift with the magnetic pad for flat surfaces, no drilling required, though screws are provided if you prefer a fixed fitting. The large test and silence button makes it easy to check or mute the siren when cooking triggers a false alert. A self-test routine runs every 60 seconds to flag faults or low power, helping maintain readiness.
Practical tips
The ABS casing is insect resistant and tolerates high temperatures, helping preserve sensor performance. Ten-year sealed power means the unit is maintenance light, but ten years is also the device life span to bear in mind. It is not compatible with SBS50 base stations and does not support interconnect or app features, so it functions as a standalone detector. Keep it away from dusty vents and direct airflow for best sensitivity.
