Overall, the Octago offers dependable shelter with thoughtful details that suit casual camping and garden use alike, while maintaining a compact footprint for storage when not in use.

Technical details

The Octago team at Coleman has aimed for practicality and built ahead with robust materials and careful construction. Seven large windows and mesh roof promote ventilation and visibility, creating a bright, airy interior that helps regulate temperature. The tent employs sewn-in ground sheets that resist ingress of dirt and bugs, reinforcing the interior’s comfort level and ensuring easier cleaning after a trip. Thanks to taped seams and the Weather TEC system, this tent provides waterproof protection that keeps you dry during rainfall, a common concern for UK campers. The octagon shape maximises interior space, while colour coded steel poles streamline assembly and reduce the time needed to pitch. The pack size and weight are chosen to balance portability with stability, giving you a tent that’s spacious enough for three people yet practical for transport in typical family caravans or cars. The groundsheet’s integral design means you can use the bedroom independently as a playroom or a quiet retreat, which adds versatility for families with children or for group events. When weather turns windy, the sturdy frame responds well to gusts, and the overall construction aims to provide lasting value for money through durable materials and thoughtful engineering. For storage and transport, the included carry bag helps keep everything together and easy to stow away after use. If you’re planning weekends away or garden days that might extend through changing seasons, the Coleman Octago is designed to adapt with you without needing separate gear for different scenarios.
