AFIING Leather Desk Mat Protector 140 x 60 cm — Large, Waterproof PU Leather Desk Pad with Non-Slip Backing

What it is

The AFIING Leather Desk Mat Protector is a large, rectangular desk pad designed to guard your workspace from scratches, spills and heat while providing a smooth surface for writing, drawing and mouse use. Made from PU leather, it aims to combine protection with a tidy, professional appearance for both office and home setups.

How it’s built

On the top, a smooth PU leather surface offers a wipe-clean finish. The backside features a suede-like layer that increases friction and helps prevent sliding, claimed to provide stronger grip than many double-sided leather mats. The mat comes in multiple colours, with black being a common option in professional spaces. The board edge is simple and squared, focusing on practicality over embellishment.

What you’ll notice in use

Its size profile is notable: the 140 x 60 cm option gives a broad, uninterrupted working area that can accommodate a laptop, notebook and a mouse with room to spare. The surface is described as easy to clean—wipe with a cloth for everyday spills and, if needed, a damp cloth for more stubborn dirt.

The benefits in practice

• Protective function: guards the desk from scratches, stains, heat and scuffs, helpful if your workspace sees daily use with keyboards, mice and paperwork.
• Large working area: a single surface for writing, drawing and mouse control without switching pads.
• Non-slip backing: suede-like underside purportedly increases friction to keep the mat in place during active workflows.
• Easy maintenance: waterproof surface that’s straightforward to wipe clean.

Limitations and caveats

• It is not a light-weight, portable solution, the large size means it’s best suited to a dedicated desk or a larger work area.
• The non-slip claim is based on the backing design, in very smooth or unusual desk finishes, performance may vary.
• The description mentions multiple sizes and variants, the focus here is the 140 x 60 cm option, so if you need something smaller or larger, check compatible dimensions.

Who it’s for

This desk mat suits people who want a single, ample surface for both writing and computer work, such as gamers, designers or home-office users who value a tidy, cohesive desk look and prefer fewer gaps between devices.

Who it’s not for

If you prioritise a true cloth texture for precise pen strokes, or you need a mat with precise gaming surface mechanics, this PU leather option may feel less specialised. It also won’t appeal if you need multiple, modular pads for different tasks.

When it makes sense to buy

• You want a large, all-in-one desk protector that covers keyboard, mouse and papers.
• You prefer a wipe-clean, waterproof surface with a non-slip back.
• Your desk benefits from a cohesive, professional look and you value a durable, cost-effective solution.

When you might want to skip it

• If you require a very soft, fabric-like feel or a pad tailored for high-precision gaming mouse sensors with variable tracking.
• If your desk has an unusual shape or you need a pad that wraps around edges.

What to check before buying

• Confirm the desired size aligns with your desk dimensions to avoid overhang or不足 space.
• Consider your desk finish, while the backing is described as non-slip, performance can vary on very glossy or laminate surfaces.
• Review cleaning methods: while wipe-clean is straightforward, avoid harsh chemicals that might affect the PU surface over time.

Practical use caseImagine a busy home office: you’re drafting, annotating, and switching between keyboard and mouse. The AFIING mat provides a single, neat surface that keeps everything aligned—papers don’t slide, and a quick wipe cleans away coffee splashes without soaking the pad.
