Benefits
Durability is a clear focus here, with a braided cable and aluminium housings that resist fraying and reduce interference. The cable passed extended bend testing according to the manufacturer, and a velcro strap keeps it tidy when not in use. AMD FreeSync and G-Sync compatibility are supported according to the product description, which helps reduce tearing on compatible displays. Note that the cable does not provide power delivery, so it will not charge laptops or phones while in use.
Usage tips
It’s a good fit if you need a simple wired connection from a USB-C or Thunderbolt laptop or tablet to a DisplayPort monitor for work or media. For dual-monitor setups, MST is available but be aware that some devices such as Apple M1 and certain iPadOS builds may not support dual displays according to the manufacturer. If you prioritise ultra-wide monitors check compatibility first, as the cable notes limited support for those screens. 🎯
What’s included
The pack includes a 2 metre Acer USB-C to DisplayPort cable, a velcro strap and a 12 month guarantee with customer service available. The description states the cable is unidirectional and does not support DisplayPort to USB-C conversion, so ensure your source device supports DP Alt Mode or Thunderbolt before buying. 📦
