Watus WATUS-12 Water Filter Cartridges, 12-Pack for BRITA Maxtra+ and Maxtra

If you need replacement cartridges for a compatible water-filter jug, the Watus WATUS-12 pack provides 12 filters for everyday use with water for drinking, tea and coffee. Coconut-shell activated carbon is the filter material, and the cartridges are designed to reduce chlorine, lead, copper, heavy metals and limescale in tap water.

The filters are BPA-free and retain minerals and trace elements. With a stated capacity of 180 litres and an approximate service life of four weeks per cartridge, depending on water use, the pack offers a clear replacement routine for a household jug.

Activated carbon gives these cartridges a practical role in daily water preparation: filtered water can be used for drinking or to make tea and coffee. The stated mineral retention means the focus is on reducing selected substances while retaining minerals and trace elements in the water. For a kitchen where a jug is used throughout the day, having a 12-pack on hand makes it easier to follow a regular cartridge replacement schedule.

What it works with

These cartridges are listed as compatible with BRITA Maxtra, Maxtra+ and Maxtra Pro filters, as well as the Marella, Marella XL, Marella Cool, Style, Style XL and Elemaris XL jug ranges. They are also listed for AmazonBasics water bottle filters. Compatibility is useful when choosing an alternative to a branded replacement cartridge, while the specific jug or bottle model remains the key detail to match before use.

How to use it

Place a cartridge in the compatible jug or bottle following the usual fitting method for that filter system. Before first use, rinse the cartridge in water for 10–20 seconds. The manufacturer advises not drinking the first three batches of filtered water. Allow for an approximate four-week replacement interval, adjusting for water consumption. A straightforward routine is to prepare a fresh jug for the day and use the filtered water for drinking, hot drinks or filling a kettle.

Is it worth it?

This 12-pack suits households looking for a supply of compatible cartridges rather than buying replacements one at a time. Its coconut-shell activated carbon, stated reduction of limescale and selected substances, and retention of minerals give it a defined purpose for everyday jug filtration. The approximate four-week service life also helps with planning routine changes.

Buyer feedback is mixed: some customers are happy with the filtration, taste and compatibility, while others report issues with fit, filtration speed or leakage. These differing experiences are useful to bear in mind when choosing a replacement. A solid pick if you want a multi-cartridge supply for a compatible jug and a simple way to keep filtered water ready for daily use.
