VTech KidiZoom Snap Touch children's camera with touchscreen and dual cameras
Product description
For children aged 6–12 who want more than a camera for taking pictures, the VTech KidiZoom Snap Touch combines photography with games, video, stickers and music features. Its smartphone-style shape and touchscreen give children several ways to create and interact, while front and rear cameras cover selfies as well as photos and video.
It is designed as a play-focused device, rather than simply a camera with a screen. Bluetooth lets two KidiZoom Snap Touch devices exchange messages, photos and stickers, and play games together.
Product specs
The flat, smartphone-format design has a 2.4-inch LCD touchscreen. There are photo and video effects, an editor, voice recording and voice distortion, a self-timer, a make-up studio and a calculator. Face recognition is listed as an unlock feature. The product details also name six touchscreen games, the broader listing mentions more than 30 games and apps.
- Name: VTech KidiZoom Snap Touch
- Type: Children's digital camera
- Display: 2.4-inch LCD touchscreen
- Resolution: 2 MP front and rear cameras, photos can be extrapolated to 5 MP
- Connectivity: Bluetooth connection between two KidiZoom Snap Touch devices

- What’s included: USB cable and instruction manual
The music player supports MP3 files, but storing music requires a separately purchased microSD card. A headphone jack is provided, headphones are not included. That means the music features depend on accessories beyond the camera itself, rather than being ready to use straight from the box.
Who it’s for
This suits children who are interested in taking selfies, recording videos and adding effects, as well as playing games or sharing content with a friend who has the same device. For a family occasion, for example, a child could take photos, edit them with stickers and send them to another KidiZoom Snap Touch over Bluetooth. The communication and group-play features give it a different focus from a more basic children’s camera that is mainly for taking and viewing pictures.
It suits you if you’re looking for a child-oriented device with creative and play features in one place. It might not be a great match if you need a camera for detailed photography: the stated camera resolution is 2 MP, with photos extrapolated to 5 MP. The product is aimed at children, so it is better judged as a camera-and-games toy than as a substitute for a more capable camera or mobile phone.
In the box
The listed contents include a USB cable, rechargeable battery and instruction manual. The microSD card and headphones are not included, so budget for those separately if using the music player or wanting to listen through headphones. The manual is the place to turn for operating instructions, the listing does not give further details about charging time or battery life.
Should you buy it?
Choose the KidiZoom Snap Touch if the appeal is the mix of touch controls, front and rear cameras, photo effects and child-focused activities, especially if another child has the same model for Bluetooth sharing. Its main strength is the range of things to do beyond taking pictures. If your priority is photography alone, or listening to music without adding a memory card and headphones, a simpler camera or a different device may better suit that need.
