TIMCO BG1625 Firmahold Straight Brad Nails, 16 x 25, Galvanised, 2,000
Product description
A neat trim finish and a quick, tool-fed fixing job call for different things. These TIMCO Firmahold brads are designed for concealed indoor fixings. They are paper-collated and supplied in a box of 2,000. Their stated uses include skirting, architrave and tongue-and-groove work.
Technical details
- Name: TIMCO BG1625 Firmahold Straight Brad
- Size: 16g x 25mm
- Format: Paper-collated, straight collation
- Head and point: T head for concealed fixings, diamond point
- Material and finish: Galvanised with electro-galvanised plating

- What’s included: Box of 2,000 brads
The T head is intended to leave a concealed fixing, which is useful where visible nail heads would detract from the finish. The diamond point is designed to aid penetration. Together, these features make the brads relevant to trim and boarding jobs where the fixing needs to be less conspicuous than a visible screw or nail head. The stated indoor application is an important buying detail: the product is not described for outdoor work.
Usage tips
For a room refresh, these could be used to secure skirting or architrave, or for tongue-and-groove fixing where a tidy finish is wanted. Paper collation may suit a workflow using collated fasteners rather than placing brads individually, but the product details do not identify compatible tools. Before buying, match the 16g size and straight paper-collated format to your nailer’s requirements, the name alone is not enough to confirm fit.
It makes sense if your job involves indoor trim and you want a substantial supply of brads in a single pack. Compared with choosing individual fixings for each placement, collated brads are aimed at a more continuous fastening workflow. The advantage depends on having a tool that accepts this exact size and collation, so this is not a universal substitute for loose nails or other fixing methods. For a small repair, a box of 2,000 may also be more than the task calls for.
In the box
The stated pack contains 2,000 straight, paper-collated brads. That quantity suits planned fitting work across several lengths of trim better than a one-off repair, though the listing gives no further information about how the brads are divided or packed inside the box.
Final verdict
These are a focused choice for indoor finishing jobs where concealed brad fixings matter, particularly skirting, architrave and tongue-and-groove work. The 16g x 25mm size, straight collation and box of 2,000 make the key buying points clear. It’s not for you if you need fixings for outdoor applications, or if your tool requires a different gauge or collation, compatibility is not specified here.
