SONGMICS LSF077B20 Foldable Storage Ottoman, 131L Tufted Bench, Ink Black

Some homes need a useful seat, others need a tidy place for blankets and everyday bits. The SONGMICS LSF077B20 brings both functions together in a foldable, tufted ottoman. Why choose between somewhere to put your feet up and somewhere to store things? Its removable divider helps keep the contents organised.

Everyday use

At 110 x 38 x 38 cm, this rectangular storage bench can sit at the end of a bed, in a living room or in an entryway. Use it as a foot rest while relaxing, a seat when changing shoes, or a blanket box for bedding that you want close at hand but out of sight. The 131L interior offers room for household essentials, while the divider separates items such as blankets and cushions for easier access.

The lid has a tufted finish and a double-layer linen-look fabric in Ink Black, with 25D high-resilience sponge for a more comfortable place to sit or rest your feet. MDF panels and reinforced metal corner protectors form part of its construction. When you want to clear the floor, the bench folds flat for storage under a bed or in a wardrobe. For seating, make sure the lid fully covers the ottoman first, its maximum static load capacity is 300 kg. Care is straightforward: wipe with a dry cloth.

Pros

The useful difference is having storage and a seat in one piece of furniture, rather than choosing a storage chest with no seating or a simple footstool with no place to put things away. The removable divider gives the large interior a practical structure, and the fold-flat design offers flexibility when the ottoman is not in use. Its dark colour and classic tufting also make it easy to place alongside bedroom or living-room furnishings without making storage the only purpose it serves.

Buyers highlight its spacious interior, sturdy feel and appearance. Some also mention using it for bedding in a bedroom, a practical example of how the storage can help keep a room looking more orderly.

What matters most

The main choice is whether you want a single piece to handle more than one everyday task. With this model, the 131L capacity is suited to bulky soft furnishings such as blankets, while the divider helps separate stored items instead of leaving everything in one open compartment. The 300 kg maximum static load capacity supports its use as a bench when the lid is fully in place.

Its 110 cm length gives it a useful presence at the foot of a bed or along a wall, while the 38 cm height makes it available as a seat or foot rest. If your priority is occasional seating and concealed storage, rather than a dedicated storage unit alone, this combined format makes better use of the space it occupies. When it needs to be put away, folding it flat helps free up floor space.

When it makes sense

It makes sense if you want a bedroom blanket box that can also serve as a seat, or a living-room foot rest with space for items you would otherwise leave out. In an entryway, it can provide a place to sit while putting on shoes and keep selected household essentials together. The divider, generous storage volume and foldable construction make it particularly useful where furniture needs to earn its place through everyday versatility.
