Practical tips
Set the chair up indoors at your desk, then adjust the seat height and depth to suit your position. The lumbar support has three-way adjustment, moving horizontally, vertically and in depth, so you can position it in relation to your lower back. The 3D armrests adjust vertically, horizontally and forwards or backwards, the 3D headrest can also be set to suit your preferred sitting position.
Assembly is required, so allow time to put the chair together before using it. Its dimensions can help you plan where it will sit in your workspace, including room to use the footrest when reclining.
Everyday use
The ErgoX is designed to move with you rather than hold you in one fixed posture. Its mesh backrest and seat flex with movement, while the adaptive lumbar support follows changes in how you sit. That makes the adjustable support useful across a working day that shifts between typing, reading and leaning back for a short break. The breathable mesh also suits a desk setup where airflow through the seat and back is welcome.
When you want to change position, the weight-sensing recline supports reclining up to 135°, with the footrest providing a place to rest your legs. Smooth, quiet casters help you move the chair around your desk. Compared with a basic fixed office chair, the ErgoX offers more ways to adjust its support, would that flexibility help you tailor the chair to different tasks? The seat-height and seat-depth adjustments, together with the moving lumbar support, give you practical options for refining your fit.
The manufacturer states that the chair is certified to SGS BIFMA standards and tested over 120,000 cycles for durability. Its maximum load is 130 kg.
