Paladone PP9563HPV3 Harry Potter Hogwarts Candle Light with Wand Remote
Product description
The wand remote gives this LED candle a playful way to switch on, while the Hogwarts crest makes it recognisable as themed décor rather than a plain bedside light. It is battery-powered, so it does not need to be placed beside a mains socket.
At 11.6 x 11.6 x 18.5 cm and 185 g, it is a compact decorative lamp for a desk, shelf or bedroom. Would a small touch of Hogwarts atmosphere be more useful here than a standard candle-style light?
The main appeal is the combination of a familiar Harry Potter design and a wand-operated switch. It is intended as a fun display piece as well as a light, rather than a feature-rich lamp for general room lighting.

Best use cases
This lamp suits a Harry Potter-themed bedroom, study space or shelf where its design can be part of the display. The wand control adds an interactive detail for switching the candle on, and the compact size makes it easier to place alongside books or other small decorations. It could also work as a characterful gift for a fan who would enjoy both the Hogwarts crest and the wand feature.
Compared with a basic candle lamp, the draw here is the themed appearance and remote wand, not a broader set of lighting functions. Buyers speak positively about how it looks and describe it as fun to use, with some also finding it makes a pleasing gift. Feedback on reliability is mixed, however, and some buyers report that the lamp stopped working. Battery life is another concern in buyer comments, including reports that the wand can use batteries quickly. Those experiences are worth weighing up if dependable everyday lighting is the main requirement.
A solid pick if you want a small themed accent light with an interactive control. Better avoided if you need a dependable primary lamp or want detailed information about battery performance before buying, that performance is not specified here.
What’s included
The set includes the battery-powered LED candle and a remote control wand. The wand’s switch operates the light, giving the product its distinctive use beyond simply displaying the Hogwarts crest. The available details do not specify whether batteries are supplied, so the contents should not be taken to confirm that they are included.
Practical questions
How is the candle switched on? The light is operated using the switch on the remote control wand.
Is it a real candle? No. The product is described as a battery-powered LED candle, rather than a flame-burning candle.
Can it serve as a main room light? It is presented as a themed candle lamp and decorative item. If you need general room lighting, a lamp designed specifically for that purpose is the more suitable approach.
Final verdict
The Paladone Hogwarts Candle Light is best judged as a themed gift or decorative accent with a fun wand control, rather than as a workhorse lamp. Its compact dimensions and recognisable crest make it easy to place in a fan’s space, but mixed reports about reliability and battery use matter if it is expected to provide regular, dependable light. Choose it for the Harry Potter design and interactive detail, within these limits, it has a clear purpose.
