Mattel GXF95 Spirit Lucky Brunette Doll and Horse Playset with Riding Action

Made from plastic, the Mattel GXF95 Spirit set brings Lucky and her horse Spirit together for movie-inspired play. Lucky is approximately 17.78 cm tall, and Spirit is approximately 20.32 cm long. What makes a riding scene more engaging? Lucky can sit on Spirit at the touch of a button, ready for adventures around the playroom.

Who it’s for

For children aged 36 months to 8 years, this set offers a simple way to act out friendship and adventure from DreamWorks’ Spirit Untamed. A child can set Lucky in the saddle, send Spirit into its realistic running motion and invent a new story along the way. It suits imaginative play centred on a doll and horse, with grooming and feeding details to add to the scene.

What stands out

The playset combines two central characters rather than focusing on a doll or horse alone. Lucky has movable joints to help her ride, and Spirit’s long tail can be brushed with the included brush. Apple play pieces add another activity: children can switch from a riding adventure to grooming and caring for the horse.

Lucky’s outfit includes an embroidery-inspired fabric top, riding trousers, a waist sash and boots inspired by her mother’s. These character details help bring the film theme into everyday pretend play. The colours and styling are designed around the Spirit story, giving children recognisable characters to use when recreating scenes or making up their own.

Feedback on the set often highlights its play value and Spirit’s movement. Opinions on functionality and durability are mixed, so experiences differ, the documented play features offer clear prompts for story-led play, from setting off on a ride to brushing Spirit’s tail afterwards. Compared with buying a doll or horse on its own, this set puts both characters and simple care accessories together for one connected play scenario.
