LIFERUN 8 x 50 mm Heavy-Duty Swivel Castors with Brakes

Move a cabinet, trolley or workshop bench more easily with this set of LIFERUN swivel castors. The 50 mm double wheels turn through 360°, helping furniture change direction without awkward repositioning. Lockable castors let you secure items once they are in place. The set contains eight castors for furniture and equipment fitted with plate mounts.

Fit and sizing

Each castor has 50 mm double wheels and a plate-mount fitting. Check that your furniture or equipment accepts a plate-mounted castor before installation, then use the same fitting arrangement across the set for a stable, coordinated setup. The swivel design is useful where an item needs to move in more than one direction, such as between work areas or around a room. Unlike fixed castors, swivel wheels can turn as you guide the load, making it easier to steer around corners and adjust its position.

The set includes both lockable and non-locking castors. This gives you the option to secure furniture when stationary while retaining free-rolling wheels for movement. The double-wheel design and metal-and-plastic construction make these castors suitable for items such as cabinets, tables, chairs, trolleys and shelving.

Why it makes sense

The 360° swivel action supports flexible handling in spaces where furniture needs to be moved and repositioned regularly. For example, a trolley in a workshop can be steered towards a bench, turned into position and held using the brake. The same practical setup can help when moving household furniture for cleaning or reorganising a room.

A polyurethane rubber coating helps the wheels roll quietly and provides a softer contact with the floor. The product is described for use across surfaces including carpet, parquet, ceramic tile, laminate and cement, making it a versatile choice for indoor spaces and other suitable areas. The zinc metal frame, thickened base and double-wheel construction are designed for stable support during movement. Choose these castors when you want a steerable, floor-friendly alternative to fixed wheels, with brakes available to help keep furniture in position.

Questions before you buy

Will these castors turn in different directions? Yes. Their swivel design allows 360° rotation, so you can steer furniture or equipment as you move it rather than following a single fixed direction.

Can I keep furniture in place after moving it? The set includes castors with brakes. Engage a lockable castor when the item is positioned where you want it to stay.

What can I fit them to? They are described for furniture and equipment such as TV cabinets, tables, chairs, trolleys, cabinets and shelves. The plate-mount fitting is the relevant detail to match to the item before installation.
