Usage tips

Choose warm light for a calmer evening atmosphere, or warm white and cool white for reading, study and desk tasks. Each lamp offers ten brightness settings across the three colour temperatures, giving you 30 combinations to suit the room and activity. The light’s memory function restores the last colour and brightness setting after power is switched off, so your preferred setup is easy to return to.

The clamp makes the lamps handy when you want to free up desk space or move the light between suitable surfaces. Its opening extends to 6cm, and the gooseneck can be angled towards a book, work area or bedside spot. The two-piece set also lets you place a lamp at separate indoor locations, such as a desk and a headboard, rather than relying on one fixed position.

Practical tips

For a reading session, clip the lamp onto a stable edge and bend the gooseneck so the light falls across the page. For focused work, adjust the brightness and colour temperature to suit the task, for relaxing at night, select warm light and a lower brightness. The ring-style LED design provides a broad lighting area, while the flexible neck helps direct it without moving the clamped base.

Power is supplied through the USB cable. It can connect to options such as a laptop, desktop computer or USB socket, the USB adapter is not included. This is useful when a nearby USB power source is more convenient than a lamp that needs to sit on a free-standing base. The push-button switch keeps everyday operation straightforward.

Practical questions

How wide can the clamp open? The sturdy metal clip opens up to 6cm, so you can attach the lamp to suitable desk edges, headboards and other surfaces within that opening.

Can I change both the colour and brightness? Yes. There are three colour temperatures and ten brightness levels, allowing you to select from 30 lighting combinations for different activities and times of day.

How do I power the lamp? It uses a USB cable and a corded power source. Connect it to a suitable USB power option, such as a computer or USB socket, an adapter is not included.

Should you buy it?

Choose the Foneso YCA804 if you want flexible, directed light for reading, studying or bedside use, along with the convenience of a clamp rather than a lamp base taking up desk space. Its adjustable neck, choice of 30 lighting settings and two-lamp set make it practical for setting up light where everyday tasks happen.
