DURATECH 12-Piece Flex-Head Ratchet Spanner Set, 8–19 mm, 72-Tooth
Product description
The 8–19 mm size range gives this set a useful spread for metric fasteners. Each spanner has a flexing head and a 72-tooth ratchet. The heads tilt up to 180 degrees, while the ratchet needs a 5-degree swing arc. A storage case is included to keep the set together between jobs.
How it fits
This set is aimed at jobs where a standard fixed-head spanner may be awkward to position, such as reaching a fastener with limited room around it. The flex head lets you change the angle, and the short swing arc is intended to help when there is little space to move the handle back and forth. What difference does that make in use? It can make repeated turns easier in a confined spot, though access still depends on the shape and clearance of the job in front of you.
The 12 sizes run from 8 mm to 19 mm, so the set covers a range of common metric fasteners without requiring separate purchases for each size. It suits you if you want ratcheting spanners for routine maintenance or DIY tasks and value an adjustable head over a simpler fixed-head set. Not the best choice if your work regularly needs sizes outside the stated range, no additional sizes are listed here.
What stands out
The combination of a 180-degree flex head and 72-tooth ratchet is the main practical distinction. The 12-point box end is designed to engage the fastener, while directional markings indicate how to use the ratchet. The spanners are made from chrome vanadium steel and have a polished, chrome-plated finish. A case is supplied for storage and carrying, which helps keep the different sizes organised rather than loose in a toolbox.
Buyer feedback is positive about the set’s perceived quality and value, and some customers say the tools work well. One reported using the spanners to open tight 13 mm and 18 mm bolts. That is useful context, but individual reports do not establish performance for every fastener or job.

What to clarify
Which sizes are included? The set contains 12 metric spanners from 8 mm through to 19 mm, covering each size in that stated range.
How much can the head move? The flex head tilts up to 180 degrees, so it can be angled to suit the available access around a fastener.
What is the ratchet swing arc? It is listed as 5 degrees, with a 72-tooth mechanism. This is relevant when handle movement is restricted, although the fastener and surrounding space still affect access.
Buying verdict
This is a practical format for someone who wants a metric spanner set with ratcheting action, an adjustable head and a case in one kit. The stated range and compact swing arc make it more geared towards varied maintenance jobs and restricted access than a basic fixed-head set. If you prioritise sizes beyond 8–19 mm, this set’s listed range may not cover your requirements. The product description also states that the spanners exceed ANSI standards, that claim is provided by the manufacturer.
