Capslpad Vintage Medallion Area Rug, 200 x 300 cm, Grey, Washable

The 200 x 300 cm size gives this grey Capslpad rug plenty of presence, making it a natural centrepiece for a living room or a generous soft accent under a dining table. Its vintage medallion pattern brings decorative detail without relying on a bright colour scheme.

Made from faux wool with a low pile, it has a soft surface for everyday indoor use. The short pile also makes routine care straightforward: vacuum it, sweep it or use a broom to lift surface dust.

A non-slip backing helps the rug stay in place on suitable indoor flooring, while machine-washable construction offers a practical way to freshen it up. Its large format suits anyone choosing a room-defining rug rather than a small decorative mat.

Key takeaways

The distressed medallion design pairs a retro look with a grey palette, so it can add pattern while sitting comfortably alongside a range of interior styles. At 200 x 300 cm, it is sized to anchor a seating area, define a dining space or bring a larger bedroom together. The 1 cm low pile keeps the surface relatively short, and the faux-wool material gives it a soft feel underfoot.

The backing is made from TPR rubber and upgraded cotton thread, with non-slip properties for everyday use on a suitable, level indoor floor. Buyers often praise the rug’s appearance, washability and grip. Feedback on thickness is mixed, and some buyers mention that folds take time to relax after unpacking, so smoothing it out and walking over it can help it settle.

Care tips

For regular upkeep, vacuum the rug or use a broom to remove surface dust. When a more thorough clean is needed, the rug can be machine washed. Use cold water and do not add bleach. Follow the care instructions for your washing machine and allow the rug to dry fully before putting it back in place. If it arrives with folds, lay it flat and gently smooth them out, they are expected to ease as the rug settles over the following days.

Best use cases

In a living room, the generous rectangular format can sit beneath a coffee table and extend across the seating area, helping make the furniture arrangement feel connected. In a dining room, it brings a patterned base to the table setting, in a bedroom or home office, it adds a softer surface and a vintage accent. The grey colour and medallion motif suit spaces where you want visual interest without a vivid focal colour.

Compared with a smaller accent rug, this format covers more floor and is better suited to defining a complete area. It is also a practical choice for households that value easy cleaning alongside a decorative design. Use it indoors on a flat floor, on stairs or uneven surfaces, use a separate non-slip mat for safety.

Before you decide

Can the rug be machine washed? Yes. Machine washing is listed as a care option. Use cold water and avoid bleach.

What does the low pile mean for everyday cleaning? The pile is 1 cm high. Vacuuming, sweeping or using a broom are suitable ways to remove surface dust and dirt.

How should I deal with folds when it arrives? Lay the rug flat, gently smooth it out and walk over it. The folds are expected to relax as it settles.

Final verdict

Choose this Capslpad rug when you want a large, washable floor covering with a soft faux-wool surface, non-slip backing and a vintage medallion design. Its 200 x 300 cm footprint is particularly useful for bringing a living room or dining area together, while the low pile keeps everyday care simple.
