ALPENHAUCH ALP-RL1000 Sauna Backrests, Two-Pack in Natural Wood

For sauna and infrared cabin users looking for back support on the bench, the ALPENHAUCH ALP-RL1000 comes as a pair of wooden backrests with a curved S-shape. The design is intended to support a more comfortable sitting position, while the two-piece format lets you place a backrest where it is needed rather than relying on one fixed support.

Each backrest measures 53 x 39 x 5 cm. That gives you useful dimensions to compare with your bench before buying, particularly if you want to position both pieces side by side.

Why it makes sense

A backrest can make a sauna session more comfortable if you prefer to sit upright rather than lean directly against the bench. The curved shape and rounded wooden bars provide a shaped contact surface, and the angle can be adjusted. That makes this a more adaptable approach than a fixed, flat support, although the product is still a separate accessory rather than part of the bench itself.

The pair is described for use in both saunas and infrared cabins. In practical terms, you can set one behind each person or keep the second available for another position, depending on the layout of your bench. The non-slip felt pads are intended to help keep the backrests steady on the seat.

Key features

The backrests are made from 100% natural wood, which the product information describes as heat resistant and pleasantly warm to the touch. Their ergonomic, curved S-shape is designed to support the back during a session, while the rounded bars add a smoother surface than a rigid, flat panel.

The adjustable angle offers some flexibility in how you sit, and felt pads underneath are intended to reduce slipping. The set includes two backrests, each measuring 53 x 39 x 5 cm. These details make it easier to judge whether they suit your bench and how much space you have for positioning them.

Usage tips

Before ordering, compare the stated dimensions with the space available on your sauna or infrared cabin bench. If you plan to use both backrests together, allow for their width and decide whether you want them side by side or in separate positions. Once placed, adjust the angle to suit your sitting position and check that the felt pads are resting securely on the bench.

A solid pick if you want separate, adjustable wooden support for sauna or infrared cabin use. It may not suit you if you need a backrest that spans the full bench, as these are individual pieces with stated dimensions rather than a bench-length support.

Before you decide

Does the set include one or two backrests? It is sold as a pack of two, so you receive a pair.

Can the sitting angle be changed? Yes. The product information says the angle can be adjusted.

What are the backrests made from? They are described as 100% natural wood, with non-slip felt pads on the underside.

Buying verdict

The ALP-RL1000 is worth considering when you want a pair of shaped backrests for sauna or infrared cabin seating and can make use of their 53 x 39 x 5 cm size. Its adjustable angle and felt pads add practical flexibility, while the main buying decision is whether two separate supports suit your bench better than a single, wider backrest.
