Wahl 59156 Canada Arco Cordless Pet Clipper with 5-in-1 Blade and Dual Batteries

Why it makes sense

Some grooming jobs call for a clipper that can handle detailed trimming as well as coat maintenance. The Wahl Canada Arco cordless clipper is designed for dogs, cats and horses, with a 5-in-1 adjustable blade covering cutting lengths from #9 to #40. That range helps you move between grooming tasks without changing the blade.

Its cordless design and two interchangeable rechargeable battery packs make it easier to work around an animal without managing a power cord. Each battery is described as providing up to 80 minutes of runtime, so the spare can be ready when you need to switch packs.

Key points

The adjustable high-carbon steel blade supports trimming around the face, feet and body, while four slide-on guide combs offer additional options for coat work. For a practical at-home grooming session, you can use the clipper for a tidy-up, then fit a guide comb when you want a different cutting length. The included blade guard, oil and cleaning brush support routine blade care, and the charging base keeps the rechargeable packs together between uses.

The clipper is intended for dogs, cats and horses, making it useful for households or grooming routines involving more than one type of animal. A quieter, low-vibration design is described as helping make clipping more comfortable for sensitive or nervous pets. Buyers also commonly praise its cutting performance, ease of handling and noise level. Experiences with battery life vary, and opinions on value are mixed, so the stated runtime is best treated as a product specification rather than a guarantee for every grooming session.

In the box, Wahl lists the Arco clipper, two drop-in NiMH rechargeable battery packs, four guide combs, the 5-in-1 adjustable blade, a blade guard, blade oil, a cleaning brush, a charging base, a transformer and charging cord, an instruction manual and a soft storage case.

Who it’s for

A solid pick if you want one cordless clipper for routine coat work and more precise trimming across dogs, cats or horses. The adjustable blade is especially useful when you want several cutting lengths from one integrated blade, while the two-battery setup gives you a spare pack to use during grooming. It offers a focused alternative to choosing separate blades for each length, with guide combs adding further flexibility for at-home clipping.
