UGREEN 45008 USB-C Bluetooth Audio Adapter for PS5, Bluetooth 5.3, aptX Adaptive

Connect Bluetooth headphones or earbuds to a PS5 for wireless game audio, or add Bluetooth audio to a compatible USB-C computer with the UGREEN 45008 adapter. Bluetooth 5.3 and aptX Adaptive support its audio connection, while plug-and-play setup keeps getting started simple. Want to switch audio modes? Use the adapter’s button to select from its supported options.

The essentials

This compact USB-C transmitter is made for audio devices, with compatibility listed for PS5, Switch 2, PC and laptops. On computers, it works with Windows and macOS. Bluetooth 5.3 with EDR provides the wireless link, and the listed audio modes include aptX, aptX Adaptive Low Latency, aptX Adaptive High Quality, aptX HD and SBC. The adapter is designed for low-latency gaming, with a stated latency of less than 100 ms.

For a gaming setup, plug it into a USB-C port and connect a Bluetooth headset or earbuds to hear game audio without a wired headset connection. It can also add Bluetooth audio capability to a desktop computer. Its small, low-profile design measures 32 x 16 x 7 millimetres and is intended to sit in a USB-C port without interfering with nearby ports. That makes it a practical fit for a laptop where keeping the surrounding connections accessible matters.

How to use it

Plug the adapter into a USB-C port to get started, no additional driver or software installation is required. Press its button to switch between the available audio modes and choose the one supported by your listening device. The adapter is for Bluetooth audio, rather than general device connectivity, so it does not transmit data for peripherals such as a keyboard or mouse. It connects to one Bluetooth device at a time, making it suitable for a single headset or pair of earbuds.

Practical tips

Use it when you want to bring Bluetooth audio to a supported console or computer through USB-C. Check that your intended setup matches the stated compatibility: Windows and macOS are supported, while Linux and AirPods Pro 2 are not. The adapter is also not designed to connect two Bluetooth headsets simultaneously, so plan on one listening device per connection.

Buyers often describe the connection process as straightforward, while feedback is mixed on compatibility, audio quality and latency. The listed compatibility and audio-only purpose are useful points to consider when choosing it for a particular setup.
