BENFEI 000437grey-2p DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter 2-Pack, 4K

For a PC or laptop with a DisplayPort output, the BENFEI adapter connects to an HDMI display. Need a practical way to use an existing monitor or HDTV? This two-pack converts DisplayPort 1.2 to HDMI 1.4 in one direction. It carries video and audio for work, streaming, gaming and presentations.

Everyday use

Connect the adapter to a DisplayPort source, then connect an HDMI cable from the adapter to a monitor, projector or HDTV. Setup is plug and play, with no drivers needed, so it’s a straightforward addition to a desk, meeting room or home entertainment setup. Use a mirrored display to show the same content on another screen, or extend the desktop across displays for more workspace. The source must output DisplayPort and the display connection must be HDMI: the adapter works from DisplayPort to HDMI, not from an HDMI source to a DisplayPort screen.

For example, a laptop with DisplayPort can connect to an HDMI monitor for a larger workspace, or to an HDTV for streaming. If you already have an HDMI display and cable, this adapter offers a simple way to connect them to a DisplayPort computer instead of changing to a DisplayPort display. The two-pack provides a second adapter for another setup or location.

Why it’s worth it

This adapter is designed for a common connection need: using an HDMI screen with a computer that has a DisplayPort output. Its support for several resolution and refresh-rate combinations gives you options for different tasks, from productivity and presentations to gaming and streaming. Audio support also lets the HDMI connection carry sound alongside the picture, with supported uncompressed 7.1-, 5.1- or 2.0-channel formats.

The compact aluminum shell has a slim profile intended to fit without blocking adjacent ports, while the no-buckle design supports smooth insertion and removal. Buyer feedback commonly highlights straightforward setup, ease of use and a sturdy feel, as well as positive impressions of picture quality. These are useful points of reference when choosing a simple adapter for an existing DisplayPort-to-HDMI setup.

The two-adapter pack, plug-and-play setup, support for mirroring or extending a display, and audio-through-HDMI capability make it a practical fit for both work and entertainment. Its key advantage is a direct, compact connection between DisplayPort computers and HDMI screens, without changing the display hardware.
