Sondiko GF-8010 Propane Torch, Adjustable Flame, Up to 2,400°F

Some kitchen tasks call for a controlled flame, while outdoor jobs need a torch that can help get charcoal or a campfire started. The Sondiko GF-8010 is a propane torch with adjustable fuel control, designed for both cooking and a range of practical outdoor and craft uses.

Its long angled nozzle and finger guard help keep your hand away from the flame as you work. Set the gas valve to its minimum before pressing the ignition button, and keep each continuous burn to no more than two minutes.

Best use cases

For finishing a steak, caramelizing sugar on crème brûlée, glazing baked ham or melting cheese, a torch brings direct heat to the surface without using a full grill or oven for that step. It can also toast breadcrumbs and roast bell peppers, making it useful for adding a browned finish or a charred edge during meal preparation. Adjust the flame to suit the task, and use the trigger for maximum power when that is needed.

Beyond the kitchen, the GF-8010 can help light a fireplace, campfire or charcoal grill. Its adjustable flame control makes it a practical choice when the same tool needs to serve cooking and outdoor fire-starting tasks. The manufacturer also identifies uses such as welding, jewellery making and other arts and crafts projects, so it offers a different approach from a torch chosen only for food finishing.

Buyers often praise the torch’s performance and its ability to help start fires. Some also report ignition difficulties, while others raise concerns about durability over time. These impressions are useful context alongside the adjustable control and intended applications.

Box contents

The package includes an instruction booklet. The propane or propylene gas tank is sold separately, so pair the torch with a compatible tank for use. Follow the operating instructions, including setting the valve to minimum before ignition and keeping continuous burning within the stated two-minute limit.

Buying verdict

The Sondiko GF-8010 suits cooks who want a torch for precise finishing and people looking for one tool for both kitchen tasks and outdoor fire-starting. Its adjustable flame, angled nozzle and finger guard support practical handling across those uses, while the compatible fuel options give it applications beyond food preparation. It makes sense if you want a single torch for searing, caramelizing and lighting charcoal or campfires, with the gas tank selected separately to match the intended fuel.
