Getting the most from it
The blackout fabric is intended to block sunlight and reduce glare, making the shade a practical choice for bedrooms, nurseries, home offices or media spaces where a darker setting is preferred. Its backing is designed to help reduce heat transfer through the window in summer and winter, while the opaque coverage also supports privacy. UV protection is another useful feature for indoor spaces exposed to direct sunlight.
For an inside mount, the stated guidance is to choose a shade the same width as the window or up to 3 cm narrower, with a window depth greater than 6 cm. For an outside mount, choose a shade 10 cm wider than the window to provide broader coverage. The fabric itself is 2 cm narrower than the total shade size, which is useful to account for when planning the fit. The shade height can be adjusted from 0 cm to 183 cm.
To operate it, pull the shade down to the desired position, gently pull the buckle for automatic retraction. The rebound speed can be adjusted by turning the control toward “S” to increase the rising speed or toward “W” to slow it down. Buyer feedback often praises the light blocking, while comments on reliability and how consistently the shade stays in position are mixed.
What’s included
The package includes the roller shade, mounting hardware, spring system and user manual. The hardware supports installation, while the cordless spring mechanism handles everyday raising and lowering.
