SANOTO S710 Swimming Headphones, IPX8 Waterproof, Bluetooth 5.4, 8GB MP3
Product description
Bluetooth 5.4 connects these SANOTO S710 in-ear headphones to a phone for land-based workouts. For swimming, the built-in 8GB MP3 player lets you listen without relying on a Bluetooth connection underwater. The IPX8-rated design is made for water activities, while the flexible ear hooks help keep the earbuds in place.
Worth noting
The S710 combines in-ear audio with a bone conduction driver and a closed sound cavity. Its design uses vibration technology to deliver sound, with audio directed into the ear canal for a more focused listening experience. For swimmers, the practical advantage is having both a Bluetooth mode for everyday use and a built-in player for pool sessions.
The player stores music in its 8GB memory and supports MP3, FLAC, WMA, WAV and APE files. Playback is rated for up to 12 hours in MP3 mode or up to 8 hours in Bluetooth mode. A control button adjusts volume, and a double-click of the function key switches between modes.
Customers highlight clear sound, a comfortable fit and the usefulness of listening to music or audiobooks while swimming. Feedback is mixed on reliability and battery performance, so those experiences vary among buyers.
How it fits
Soft, flexible silicone ear hooks are designed to adapt to different head shapes and sit securely during exercise. The in-ear fit can be worn with a swim cap, goggles and earplugs, making it suitable for pool training as well as runs, cycling and other fitness activities. At 26 g, the headphones are lightweight to wear during workouts or while travelling.
A solid pick if you want one pair for two different routines: Bluetooth listening with a cell phone on land, and stored audio for swimming. If your main need is music during a pool session, the built-in player is the key distinction from headphones that depend on a phone connection.
Practical tips
Switch to MP3 mode before swimming and turn off Bluetooth on your phone. Bluetooth uses a 2.4 GHz signal that is absorbed by water, so it cannot maintain the connection underwater. The IPX8 design is specified for submersion up to 10 metres for more than 2 hours, as well as use around sweat, rain and splashes.
Use the included magnetic charging cable to charge the headphones. The package also lists an adjustable elastic strap and replacement ear tips, which can help tailor the fit for your activity. Choose Bluetooth mode for compatible phones, tablets, computers and other devices when you are above water, switch to stored MP3 playback for swimming.
