Pentel retractable gel pen, 0.7 mm

Technical details

A multi-pack of retractable pens makes sense when you want several matching pens ready for notes, forms or day-to-day desk work. This Pentel set uses sky blue liquid gel ink and a 0.7 mm stainless steel tip, with a rubber grip and metal accents on the barrel.

The main distinction is the refillable design: these pens accept LR7 EnerGel refills, so replacing the ink is an option instead of discarding the pen when it runs out.

The listed writing distance is 550 m. The product also belongs to Pentel’s Recycology line, the description says over 50% of the materials used to create these products were recycled. That is a useful detail for buyers who want a refillable pen with recycled content, though it does not establish the recycled share of each individual component.

Getting the most from it

For regular writing, the 0.7 mm tip is a practical middle ground: it gives you a defined line without being described as an especially fine-point option. Sky blue ink can make everyday notes easier to distinguish from writing in a more common dark ink, but it will not suit every form, workplace or preference. If you need a specific ink colour, check that requirement before choosing this set.

The quick-drying liquid gel ink is presented as suitable for left-handed writers, with reduced smearing and smudging. Based on the listed details, that could help when taking notes quickly and moving your hand across the page. Paper and writing habits can still affect how ink behaves, so treat the no-smear wording as a product claim rather than a guarantee for every surface.

Usage tips

Use the retractable mechanism to keep the tip covered between writing sessions, and hold the rubber grip where it feels comfortable for your usual hand position. For example, when jotting a reminder in a notebook and turning straight to the next page, the fast-drying ink is intended to reduce the chance of dragging a wet line across the paper. The stainless steel tip and refillable format also make this more suitable for repeated desk use than a disposable pen you replace in full.

When the ink runs out, look for LR7 EnerGel refills specifically. The refill system is a useful way to keep using the barrel, but it does mean this set is best suited to someone willing to source compatible refills rather than simply switch to a new pen.

Three specific questions

What colour is the ink? It is sky blue, not a choice of assorted colours in the listed product details.

Can the pens be refilled? Yes. The description names LR7 EnerGel refills as the compatible refill type.

Is the ink intended to dry quickly? Yes. The product description says the liquid gel ink dries quickly and is designed to reduce smears, including for left-handed writers.

Before you buy

Puede interesarte si you want a pack of retractable gel pens for routine writing, prefer sky blue ink and expect to refill the barrels. The rubber grip, metal accents and stated 550 m writing distance add practical context, while the recycled-material claim may matter if that is part of your selection criteria.

Quizá no encaja si you need black or another specified ink colour, a finer point, or a pen that does not depend on a particular refill type. The description does not provide details about barrel dimensions or individual pen weight, so those preferences cannot be assessed from the available information. Choose this set for its refillable 0.7 mm format and sky blue ink, look elsewhere if colour or a different point size is essential.
