NEWSETS Slicer/Shredder Attachment, 4 Blades

Four blade styles give this NEWSETS slicer/shredder attachment more range than a basic grater, from slicing vegetables to making fine shreds or a powder-like grind. That can be handy when you want to prep several ingredients without switching to separate tools.

For a salad, you could slice vegetables straight into a bowl, then swap blades to grate cheese for tacos or pizza. The attachment is designed for use with a stand mixer.

The blades are stainless steel, with plastic edge reinforcements. A screw-ring lock is intended to help keep a blade in place during use.

Technical details

The set includes four blades: a 0.27-inch slicing blade, a 0.25-inch coarse shredding blade, a 0.1-inch fine shredding blade and a 0.16-inch grinding blade. The wider feeding slot is designed to take a range of fruits and vegetables, while the housing provides room to process ingredients such as cheese, zucchini and nuts.

The blades have slightly tapered sides, which are designed to make food easier to tip out than with round-shaped blades. That may help when moving freshly shredded ingredients into a bowl, though the listing does not give dimensions for the housing or feeding slot. Es buena opción si you want one mixer attachment for several prep styles rather than a standalone slicer or a single-purpose grater.

Practical compatibility

The listing says the attachment works with KitchenAid stand mixers and most Cuisinart SM-50, SM-50BC and SM-50R stand mixers. It does not name specific KitchenAid models or clarify which other Cuisinart models fit, so compatibility beyond the models listed is not established here. If you own a less common mixer, confirm the fit before choosing this attachment.

Usage tips

Choose the slicing blade for vegetables, the coarse or fine shredding blade for cheese and produce, and the grinding blade for a finer result such as ground nuts. These options suit everyday prep for salads, taco toppings and pizza, rather than a buyer who only needs to grate one ingredient occasionally.

Although the components are described as dishwasher-safe, hand-washing is recommended to help keep them in good condition. A brush is included for cleaning. If vegetable colour remains on the housing, the listing suggests using a drop of edible oil to help remove it. Quizá no encaja si you want a low-maintenance attachment that you can simply put in the dishwasher every time.

Before you decide

Which blade is for fine shredding? The 0.1-inch blade is listed for fine shredding, the 0.25-inch blade is the coarse option.

Does it include a lock for the blades? Yes. A screw-ring lock is described as helping prevent a blade from falling off during use.

What support is listed? The product description mentions a one-year free replacement and a two-year warranty. It does not provide further terms, so check the warranty conditions for your situation.

Before you buy

Based on the listing details, this attachment is aimed at mixer owners who will use more than one blade style for routine ingredient prep. Its broad compatibility wording is the main drawback: KitchenAid is named generally, while only three Cuisinart models are specified. If your mixer is one of those models and you want slicing, coarse and fine shredding, plus grinding in one attachment, the setup is a practical fit. If compatibility is uncertain or you mainly need a simple grater, a more specific or single-purpose option may make more sense.
