Everyday compatibility

This attachment is made for KitchenAid stand mixers, bringing pasta shaping into a familiar kitchen setup. Use it to prepare fresh pasta for a weeknight meal, then choose a disc to suit the dish: spaghetti or bucatini for a simple sauce, fusilli for a heartier recipe, or large or small macaroni for different meal ideas. The range of shapes makes it easier to match the pasta to the recipe without changing to a separate pasta-making appliance.

The seven-disc selection gives home cooks several formats to work with in one attachment. It is a practical fit for anyone who enjoys making pasta from scratch and wants more shape options from their stand mixer. The press is the central tool for forming the pasta, the included organizer keeps the discs together between uses.

Getting the most from it

For the suggested dough preparation, mix flour and water at a 2:1 ratio. Knead the dough until it is not sticky and has no extra wetness, then divide it into walnut-sized pieces. Feed the pieces into the press with the dough pusher and turn the knob on the mixer’s main unit to shape the pasta. Preparing evenly sized pieces makes it straightforward to feed the dough through the attachment as you work.

After making pasta, remove the parts for washing and use the included brush to help clean the attachment. The main unit can be wiped with a damp cloth. The design also comes apart for assembly and cleaning, making it easier to handle the different discs and press components as part of a cooking routine.

Compared with choosing a standalone pasta maker, this attachment is intended for cooks who want to use a compatible KitchenAid mixer for pasta preparation. It brings several pasta shapes and the essential shaping accessories together in one mixer attachment, while keeping the process focused on fresh dough and the recipe at hand.

Choose this pasta press if you have a KitchenAid stand mixer and want to make several fresh pasta shapes with one attachment. Its seven interchangeable discs, dough pusher and cleaning brush support the key steps from shaping to cleanup, making it a useful addition for home cooks who want more variety in homemade pasta.
