NEEWER CM28 Wireless Lavalier Microphone System, 4GB Storage, Noise Cancelling

Record an interview, vlog or live-streamed session with the NEEWER CM28 wireless lavalier microphone system. Its clip-on transmitters let speakers move while audio is captured, making it practical for on-camera conversations and other recordings where a wired mic could get in the way.

The system includes two transmitters and one receiver, so it can support recordings with two mic-wearing speakers. One-click noise cancelling gives you a simple way to reduce unwanted background sound, while built-in storage lets each transmitter record audio independently.

Use the receiver with a compatible phone, computer or camera, or record directly to a transmitter for added flexibility. Compared with a basic wired lapel mic, the CM28 combines wireless capture with standalone recording for interviews, social video and live-streaming setups.

Compatibility & requirements

The CM28 is designed for use with smartphones, PCs and cameras, and is compatible with iPhone, Android phones, iPad, PC and Mac. The connection method depends on the device: the listed accessories include a USB-A to USB-C data cable for computer use and an audio cable for DSLR cameras. Android phones may require an OTG adapter, and some phones need OTG enabled in their settings. This makes the system adaptable to a creator’s existing recording setup, whether that means capturing video on a phone or connecting to a camera.

Getting the most from it

For an interview or two-person video, clip a transmitter to each speaker and connect the receiver to the recording device. If you want a separate audio file, use a transmitter’s built-in 4GB storage to record uncompressed WAV audio without relying on the wireless receiver for that recording. The stated storage capacity supports up to 9 hours of audio per transmitter, giving you room for longer sessions.

Use the one-click noise-cancelling control when you want to reduce background noise during recording. The included windshields offer another practical tool for outdoor or breezy settings, while the magnets provide an alternative way to attach the microphones. For wireless recording, the stated 200m range applies in unobstructed areas, and the actual range varies with location.

Before you decide

Can the transmitters record without the receiver? Yes. Each transmitter can act as a standalone recorder, saving uncompressed 48KHz, 16-bit WAV audio to its 4GB storage.

How do you activate noise cancelling? Use the one-click control on a transmitter to switch on noise cancelling during recording.

What should Android users know about connection? The system connects to Android phones using an OTG adapter, some phones also require OTG to be enabled in settings.

When it makes sense

A solid pick if you need a compact wireless mic system for interviews, social videos, live streams or other spoken-audio recordings. The two transmitters suit two-person capture, and the option to record directly to each transmitter adds flexibility when planning a shoot. Choose the CM28 for a setup that brings clip-on wireless audio, one-click noise cancelling and standalone recording together.
