MAONO PD100X RGB Dynamic USB/XLR Microphone with Noise Reduction and RGB

Getting the most from it

For gaming, streaming, podcasting or vocal recording, the MAONO PD100X RGB combines a dynamic microphone with both USB and XLR connections. Its unidirectional pickup pattern focuses on sound from the speaker, while noise-reduction features help keep the voice recording centred in busy gaming or home-work spaces.

Use USB for a direct computer setup, or connect through an audio interface or mixer with XLR for a more flexible recording arrangement. A desktop stand and USB-C cable are included to support a compact starting setup.

The touch-to-mute control makes it easy to silence the mic during a call or stream. In USB mode, Maono Link supports noise-reduction adjustment and RGB lighting control, the onboard button can also switch the lighting. A headphone jack provides monitoring, while the control knob adjusts gain and monitoring volume in USB mode.

Strengths

The choice of USB or XLR lets you match the microphone to your setup: USB offers a straightforward connection for computer use, while XLR can connect to an audio interface or mixer. That makes the PD100X RGB useful for someone starting with a desktop recording setup as well as someone building around separate audio equipment. An XLR cable is not included, so an XLR connection requires one separately.

For gaming and live conversations, the mute control and headphone monitoring put practical audio controls close at hand. RGB lighting adds a customizable visual detail to a streaming desk, and Maono Link can adjust brightness, colour and noise reduction when connected by USB. The microphone is compatible with Windows, Mac OS and PS4/PS5, it is not compatible with Xbox.

Buyers commonly praise its sound for gaming, noise-reduction features and setup experience. Feedback on durability and connectivity is mixed, so these points are best considered alongside the convenience of its dual-connection design and desktop controls.
