MELPO BR16-SA50 RGB LED Bulbs, 5W, 12 Colours, E26, 4-Pack

For anyone looking to add adjustable colour to an indoor space, these MELPO bulbs combine RGB lighting with warm white in one bulb. Choose from 12 colours, dim the brightness and use the remote to adjust the room’s atmosphere. Each bulb uses 5W and provides up to 500 lumens of white light.

Who it’s for

This four-pack suits indoor rooms where lighting needs to shift between everyday illumination and a more decorative mood. Use the warm white setting for general lighting, then select a colour for a relaxed evening, a gathering or seasonal décor. The A19 shape and E26/E27 base make the key fit details easy to check against your fixtures before installing.

For a room that uses several bulbs, having four lets you coordinate the lighting across multiple fixtures. The included remote controls colour, brightness and lighting mode, so you can make adjustments without changing the bulb at the switch. Buyers often highlight the choice of colours and the convenience of remote operation, some also note that colour changes do not always work as they expected.

Benefits

The 12 RGB colour choices give you flexibility beyond a standard white bulb, while dimming lets you tailor the light level to the moment. For everyday white illumination, the bulb is rated at 500 lumens and 2700K, with a stated 40W incandescent equivalent. That combination makes it practical to use the same bulb for warm white lighting and colour-based ambience rather than choosing between separate bulbs for those purposes.

Two modes offer different effects: Smooth transitions between colours, while Flash changes colour dynamically, with five speed options. A timer function can be set to turn the lights off after a chosen number of hours. These controls are useful when you want to set a consistent atmosphere for a gathering or add colour to a room without manually switching between settings throughout the evening.

What to know

The bulbs are designed for indoor use and operate through a remote using infrared connectivity. The package includes four bulbs, two remotes and a user manual. A memory function retains the last-used colour or mode, and the bulbs can also be operated with a wall switch. This offers a straightforward way to return to a familiar setting during everyday use, including when the remote is not to hand.

Each bulb has a 5W power consumption and an A19 shape. Before installation, match the E26/E27 base to the fixture you plan to use. As an alternative to a conventional single-colour bulb, this set adds selectable RGB lighting while retaining a warm white setting for regular room lighting.

Is it worth it?

If you want one set of bulbs to cover both warm white illumination and decorative colour, the MELPO BR16-SA50 offers that flexibility across four indoor fixtures. Its remote adjustment, dimming, two lighting modes and timer make it suited to creating a chosen atmosphere without relying on a separate colour light. It makes sense if you want adaptable mood lighting for a living space, bedroom or special occasion, with warm white available for day-to-day use.
