Austin Coast S14 LED Bulbs, 2W E26, 2200K Warm White, Shatterproof Plastic

A string-light bulb for soft ambient lighting serves a different purpose from one meant to brighten a work area. These Austin Coast S14 LEDs are specified at 150 lumens and 2200K, putting the emphasis on a warm glow rather than strong task lighting.

Their clear plastic construction is described as shatterproof and waterproof, and the bulbs are listed for indoor and outdoor use. They have an E26 base and use 2W each.

Could they suit a patio setup? The warm colour and S14 shape are intended for string-light use, including settings such as a courtyard, terrace or gathering space.

Worth noting

The key buying details are the E26 base, 2W power draw, 150-lumen output and 2200K warm-white colour. The listing describes the bulbs as replacements for 10W incandescent bulbs, but the modest lumen figure is more relevant when judging how much light they will provide. They are non-dimmable, so they are not suited to a setup where you want to adjust brightness at the bulb.

There is a quantity discrepancy in the product information: the name says 25 pack, the product description says 48 pack, and the specifications list a unit count of 1. That leaves the supplied quantity unclear, confirm it before choosing these for a project that needs a particular number of bulbs.

The plastic construction may be appealing in string-light settings where glass is less desirable, while shoppers looking for brighter, adjustable lighting may prefer a different bulb type. The product is described as waterproof and suitable for indoor or outdoor use, but no specific installation rating or certification is provided in the details.

Tips for day-to-day use

These bulbs are intended for household-powered string lights, not battery operation. The supplied information specifies AC/120V, so check that against the requirements of your light set before installation. Screw each bulb in firmly, the product notes that a bulb that does not light may need tightening.

For a small patio or courtyard arrangement, the 2200K output can provide a softer evening atmosphere than a bulb selected for clear, bright task lighting. If you need light for reading, detailed work or broad illumination, compare the lumen output with the needs of that space rather than relying on the warm colour description alone. Worth considering if your priority is a warm-looking glow in compatible E26 string lights.

Who it’s for

These S14 bulbs are aimed at people replacing bulbs in E26-base string lights or putting together an indoor or outdoor decorative setup. The stated uses include patios, courtyards, parties, weddings, bars and restaurants. The plastic body and shatterproof claim may also matter where a glass shade is not the preferred choice.

It might not be a great match if you need dimming, a brighter task-lighting source or a confirmed pack quantity before planning a larger installation. For this type of use, the most useful checks are the E26 base, the stated AC/120V supply and the number of bulbs actually included.

Practical questions

Will these fit any string light? They have an E26 base, so the socket must match. The listing does not specify compatibility beyond that base type.

Can the brightness be adjusted? No. The bulbs are described as non-dimmable.

Are they intended for outdoor settings? Yes. The product information describes them as waterproof and suitable for indoor and outdoor use, including patios and courtyards.

Final verdict

These Austin Coast bulbs make the most sense when the goal is warm, decorative lighting from an E26 string-light socket, with a clear plastic body and a stated 150-lumen output. Their 2200K colour suits a softer atmosphere, but the non-dimmable design and modest brightness make them less suited to adjustable or task-focused lighting. The conflicting pack information is the main detail to settle before buying, especially if you need a specific quantity for a complete installation.
