Product description
For calls, streams or recordings at a desk, the Elgato Wave Neo gives you a dedicated USB condenser microphone with a raised stand that brings it closer to your mouth. Its unidirectional pickup pattern and high-rise design help focus on your voice while minimizing background noise from a keyboard or mouse.

Who it’s for
Wave Neo suits people who want a separate desk microphone for voice chats, streaming or recording, rather than relying only on a built-in computer microphone or a headset mic. The included stand and riser extension let you position it higher and closer to your mouth, while the unidirectional pattern is designed to capture sound from one direction. That desktop arrangement is useful when you want a clear, accessible microphone position for regular sessions at your desk.
The tap-to-mute control also makes it easy to manage your mic during a call or live conversation. Its LED indicator provides immediate visual feedback, and the headphone jack supports direct listening as you speak. These practical controls keep common tasks close to hand instead of requiring you to reach for separate equipment.
When it makes sense
Choose the Wave Neo when you want a simple USB microphone with desk placement, a physical mute control and headphone monitoring in one setup. For example, place it on the desktop for a video call, raise it with the included extension, and tap to mute when you need privacy. The high-rise design can bring the microphone closer to your voice and help reduce keyboard and mouse noise in the background.
Compared with using a built-in mic or a microphone attached to headphones, this dedicated condenser microphone gives you a stand-based position and a direct mute control. A solid pick if you want an approachable USB setup for everyday calls, streaming or voice recording, with monitoring and mute status built into the microphone.
