Best use cases

Choose this audiobook for a listening-focused way to spend time with Kelly Ripa’s stories, whether you prefer hearing a book or want an alternative to reading in print. Ripa is both the author and narrator, so her delivery is part of the experience. The full, unabridged presentation preserves the complete audiobook rather than shortening it into an abridged version.

The title’s playful contrast between “long-winded” and “short stories” sets the tone for a collection built around personal anecdotes. It may appeal to listeners looking for humorous storytelling with a glimpse into the author’s life, rather than a purely factual reference or a plot-driven novel. Use the stated running time to plan your listening: it can be enjoyed in shorter sessions or as a longer audiobook for regular listening.

What stands out

The author-narrated format is a defining feature. Instead of hearing a separate performer interpret the material, listeners hear Ripa tell her own stories. That can make this a natural choice for readers already interested in her perspective and voice. The unabridged format also keeps the complete work together for a continuous listening experience.

Buyer feedback frequently highlights the humour, Ripa’s wit and the personal quality of the stories. Readers also appreciate the candid look into her everyday life and the sense of hearing anecdotes from her own experience. Some describe the book as enjoyable and easy to read, while opinions on how consistently engaging it is are mixed. This makes it a particularly relevant pick for listeners who value personality, humour and personal storytelling, those seeking a fast-moving, tightly plotted narrative may be looking for a different kind of audiobook.
