JOFIOS TZ21 Solar Post Cap Lights, 4-Pack, 16 LEDs, Two Light Modes

Finish a deck, fence or porch with solar post cap lights that add a defined glow to outdoor posts. The JOFIOS TZ21 set includes four black fixtures with 16 LEDs each and two lighting modes. Want post lighting without running wiring? These fixtures charge in daylight and switch on automatically at dusk.

Why it’s worth it

Solar power keeps installation straightforward: mount each light on a compatible post and let daylight charge it, without wiring or separate batteries. The automatic dusk operation also means the lights can provide illumination as the evening begins without a manual switch routine. Choose between warm white and cool white to suit the feel of the space, whether you’re adding a softer accent along a fence or a brighter-looking finish around a deck or patio.

Each fixture is made from black plastic and has a classic post-cap form, so it provides both a finishing detail for exposed posts and outdoor lighting. The four-pack is suited to arranging a consistent look across several fence or deck posts. Its listed applications include gardens, patios, porches, backyards, decks and fences.

Buyers commonly highlight the appearance, pleasant ambience and useful brightness for outdoor areas, along with easy installation. Feedback on reliability is mixed, and some buyers raise concerns about sizing. The product is designed for 4x4 and 6x6 wood posts, and 4x4 and 5x5 vinyl or PVC posts, matching the post material and size to the listed fit helps guide placement.

Key takeaways

This is a set of four solar-powered post cap lights, each with 16 LEDs and two lighting modes. The fixtures turn on automatically at dusk after charging during the day, making them a practical choice for adding light along a fence line or around an outdoor seating area without routing power to every post. Their IP65 waterproof rating and outdoor design support use in exposed garden, porch, patio and backyard settings.

Compared with a wired post light, this solar set offers a simpler installation approach where access to electrical wiring is not part of the plan. The trade-off in approach is clear: choose these for solar-powered, post-mounted accent lighting, choose a wired style when a wired lighting setup is the priority. For installation, use the post sizes and materials listed for the fixture, then mount the caps on the posts you want to illuminate.

Getting the most from it

Position the lights where their solar panels can receive daylight, so they can charge before switching on at dusk. For a coordinated look, place the four fixtures along the same fence run or around the edge of a deck or patio. Selecting warm white or cool white across the space lets you keep the lighting mood consistent with the setting, while the black finish pairs naturally with dark outdoor posts and fence details.

The plastic fixtures are intended for outdoor lighting and have a waterproof design. Keep the care routine simple: maintain access to the solar charging surface and clean the fixtures as needed to keep them looking tidy. Their post-mount format makes them especially useful when you want to illuminate the tops of fence or deck posts rather than add a freestanding light elsewhere in the yard.

Is it worth it?

For a homeowner planning a coordinated row of solar post lights, the JOFIOS TZ21 offers four fixtures, two white-light options and automatic dusk activation in one set. Its strongest fit is a deck, fence, porch or patio project where compatible posts are already in place and a straightforward, wiring-free installation is appealing. The combination of post-cap styling and solar operation makes it a practical way to add a finished look and evening illumination to outdoor posts.
