JOFIOS TZ21 Solar Post Cap Lights, 12-Pack, 16 LEDs, 2 Modes, IP65

Solar charging and automatic dusk activation make these JOFIOS post cap lights a straightforward way to add light to outdoor posts without wiring or batteries. The black finish gives deck and fence posts a clean, coordinated look.

Each light has 16 LEDs and two lighting modes, with warm white and cool white options to suit the mood or visibility you want outdoors. Use the softer tone to create a welcoming feel on a porch, or choose the brighter-looking colour option to define a deck or patio after dark.

Want post lighting without running electrical wiring? The solar-powered design charges during the day and switches on automatically at dusk, making it easy to add lighting across several posts.

Practical tips

Plan the layout around the posts you want to illuminate: this set includes 12 lights, so it can bring a consistent finish to a run of fence posts or several areas around a deck and porch. The post-mount design is made for 4x4 and 6x6 wood posts, as well as 4x4 and 5x5 vinyl or PVC posts. Match the light to the post material and size before installation for a proper fit.

Installation requires no tools. Once mounted, the lights charge in daylight and turn on automatically at dusk. Their 14 x 14 x 6.6 cm dimensions give you a useful reference when planning how the caps will sit on the posts.

Why it makes sense

Compared with wired post lighting, these solar caps offer a simpler way to add decorative outdoor illumination without routing wiring to each post or relying on batteries. The two light colour options also let you choose between warm white and cool white rather than settling for a single tone throughout the space. Their black plastic finish suits a classic look across fences, decks, patios and porches.

Buyer feedback often highlights the appearance, ambience and brightness, with customers also appreciating the fit on different posts and the lights’ contribution to deck and porch settings. Some shoppers raise concerns about size, while experiences with reliability are mixed. Matching the stated post dimensions and material to your installation helps make the choice more practical.

What to know

Each fixture is solar powered, uses LED light sources and is rated IP65 for water resistance. The automatic switch turns the lights on at dusk. Choose the warm or cool white mode to suit the setting, whether you are adding a welcoming accent to a porch or a consistent decorative finish along a backyard fence. The 12-pack is particularly useful when you want the same style of light repeated across multiple posts.

What to clarify

How do the lights turn on? They charge using solar power during the day and switch on automatically at dusk, so there is no need to wire them to a household power source.

What lighting options are available? Each light offers two modes: warm white and cool white. Select the tone that best suits the atmosphere you want for your outdoor space.

Which posts are they designed to fit? They are designed for 4x4 and 6x6 wood posts, plus 4x4 and 5x5 vinyl or PVC posts. Check the post material and size against these combinations when planning your installation.
