JBL PartyBox Stage 320 Portable Party Speaker with Wheels, Handle and IPX4
Product description
A speaker for a quick kitchen playlist and one for music that needs to carry across an outdoor gathering solve different problems. The JBL PartyBox Stage 320 is built for the latter, with wheels and a telescopic handle for moving it between spots.
It combines stereo audio with a built-in lightshow, so it can do more than play background music. For a casual get-together, that may be more speaker and spectacle than you need.

For longer events, its up-to-18-hour play time and mic and guitar inputs add practical flexibility. The trade-off is its party-focused size and feature set: this isn’t a compact speaker for slipping into a bag.
What matters most

JBL lists maximum output power at 240 watts. The speaker uses two 6.5-inch woofers and two 25 mm dome tweeters, with Bluetooth connectivity and stereo audio output. Those details point to a setup intended to fill a gathering space rather than sit discreetly on a desk. The maker says it can cover an area the size of a tennis court, but actual sound coverage will depend on the setting and how the speaker is used.

The lightshow adds starry effects, light trails and strobe effects that sync to the beat. If you mainly want simple playback, it may not be a deciding feature, if the speaker is meant to be part of the party, it gives the setup a more deliberate focal point.

Battery life is rated for up to 18 hours. A replaceable battery is available separately, and a 10-minute fast charge is stated to add two hours of play time. Treat both figures as maker-provided claims rather than a guarantee for every listening session.
Best use cases

The wheels and telescopic handle make this easier to roll from a vehicle to a backyard or park gathering than a speaker that has to be carried the whole way. For example, you could wheel it across a patio, extend the handle for the walk, then lower it once it is in place. Its IPX4 splash-proof rating offers some protection around splashes or light rain, but it is not a reason to leave it exposed to heavy rain or submerge it.
Dual microphone inputs and a guitar input suit karaoke, casual singing or a small live performance. Auracast supports wireless connection with other compatible PartyBox speakers, two can be stereo-paired, while multiple Auracast-enabled PartyBoxes can be linked for larger events. That makes expansion possible, but the feature is most useful if you already plan to use additional compatible speakers.

A solid pick if you want a mobile party speaker with lighting and live-input options. You may want to skip it if you need a small, low-key speaker for everyday portable listening.
Tips for day-to-day use

Roll it with the handle extended, then lower the handle when it is parked so it is out of the way. Keep the splash rating in perspective: IPX4 addresses splashes, not immersion. If you expect a long event, the battery’s rated play time is useful context, but the separately sold replacement battery is an extra purchase rather than something included in the stated setup.
For karaoke or guitar, connect through the dedicated inputs and use the karaoke EQ tuning described by JBL. If you only need music playback, Bluetooth keeps the setup simpler and avoids adding microphones or an instrument to the plan.
Practical doubts

Can it be used outdoors? It is described as splash-proof with an IPX4 rating, which suits splash-prone settings better than a non-splash-rated speaker. It is not specified as waterproof.
Does it include a replacement battery? No. The replaceable battery is sold separately.
Can it connect to other speakers? JBL says two speakers can be stereo-paired, and multiple Auracast-enabled PartyBoxes can connect wirelessly.
Buying verdict
Choose the PartyBox Stage 320 when you want sound, lighting and a speaker that can be rolled between party locations, with mic and guitar inputs available for more than playback. Its clearest limitation is that the design is geared towards gatherings, not discreet everyday carry, the splash rating also does not cover submersion. If portability means rolling a substantial party setup rather than packing a compact speaker, its handles, wheels and event features are the reasons to consider it.
