AOC Captain 300 Wireless Gaming Headset, 2.4GHz, Bluetooth 6.0, 45-Hour Battery

For a PS5 session where game audio and team chat need to stay in sync, connect the AOC Captain 300 with its 2.4GHz USB transmitter. The over-ear headset also offers Bluetooth 6.0 and a 3.5 mm audio connection, so it can move between gaming and everyday listening across compatible devices.

A detachable, noise-reducing microphone handles voice chat and can be removed for solo play or music.

Tips for day-to-day use

Choose the connection that suits the device and activity. Use the USB transmitter for wireless gaming on PS5, PS4, PC, Mac and Nintendo Switch, Bluetooth is available for phones, tablets and other Bluetooth-enabled devices. For a wired connection, use the 3.5 mm audio cable. PlayStation consoles do not support Bluetooth audio with this headset, so use the USB transmitter for wireless play. Xbox consoles connect through the 3.5 mm cable.

For voice chat, seat the detachable microphone firmly, make sure mute is off, and select the headset as the input device in your system settings. On Nintendo Switch, microphone support depends on the game and mode, while game audio is supported.

What stands out

The 2.4GHz connection is designed for low-latency gaming audio, with latency listed at up to 20 ms. Its 50 mm dynamic drivers and 7.1 virtual surround sound are aimed at an immersive gaming experience, while the detachable, omnidirectional noise-reduction microphone supports communication during multiplayer sessions. What connection makes the most sense for your routine? The three options let you use the USB transmitter for gaming, Bluetooth for compatible everyday devices, or the cable when you want a wired setup.

The battery is rated for up to 45 hours of use, with 20 hours when dynamic RGB lighting is on, a full charge takes 3 hours. An adjustable headband and breathable memory-protein ear cushions suit longer sessions, and the white finish with a mirror-surface design gives the headset a distinct look at a gaming desk.

What to know

The package includes the Captain 300 headset, detachable microphone, Type-C charging cable, 3.5 mm audio cable, USB transmitter and user manual. The over-ear design provides full ear coverage, while button controls keep everyday adjustments on the headset. For console choice, the key distinction is connection: PlayStation wireless gaming uses the USB transmitter, Xbox uses the audio cable, and Switch microphone support varies by game.

Buyer feedback often appreciates the sound and gaming use, while opinions vary on audio consistency, fit and durability. These impressions reflect individual experiences, the connection options, detachable mic and stated battery life are the practical features to weigh for your setup.
