JBL Endurance Peak 3 JBLENDURPEAK3BLKAM True Wireless Earbuds, Black, IP68

These in-ear true wireless earbuds use a bendable ear hook with TwistLock to help keep them in place. The black JBL Endurance Peak 3 is designed for active listening, with an IP68 rating and up to 50 hours of playback including the charging case. That combination suits workouts where a secure fit matters more than a minimalist earbud shape. Ambient Aware and TalkThru add ways to hear your surroundings or manage conversations without taking them off.

Size & fit

The ear hook is the key fit feature here: it wraps around the ear, while the bendable Powerhook design is intended to adjust for a secure, comfortable position. This makes the Peak 3 a different approach from conventional in-ear earbuds without an over-ear hook, which may appeal to someone who wants extra support during a run or gym session. A simpler, hook-free style may better suit someone who prefers less around the ear.

Buyer feedback on fit is generally positive, with people describing the hook as helpful for keeping the earbuds in place during workouts. Comfort opinions are more mixed, though, so a secure fit should not be taken as a guarantee that the shape will feel comfortable for every ear. You’ll like it if stability during movement is high on your list, It might not be a great match if you already know that ear-hook designs tend to irritate you.

Strengths

JBL Pure Bass Sound comes from a 10 mm dynamic driver, giving workout playlists a bass-focused sound profile. Battery life is another practical draw: the earbuds are rated for up to 10 hours, with another 40 hours available from the case. A 10-minute speed charge is stated to provide up to an hour of playback, useful when there is little time to top up before heading out.

The IP68 rating is specified for dust and water protection, including exposure for 30 minutes at depths up to 1.5 metres in salt or fresh water. That makes the stated protection relevant to sweaty sessions or wet conditions, rather than requiring a separate pair for every workout setting. For calls, four microphones use dual beamforming mics in each earbud, VoiceAware lets you adjust how much of your own voice comes through. Ambient Aware helps keep surrounding sounds audible, while TalkThru supports conversations without removing the earbuds.

Buyer impressions of sound, battery life and reliability are mixed. Some praise the listening experience or lasting charge, while others report less satisfying sound or charging and durability concerns. These are individual experiences, not a guarantee of how a particular pair will perform.

Final verdict

The Endurance Peak 3 is worth considering if you want workout earbuds with an ear hook, stated dust and water protection, and long rated playback that includes the charging case. Its fit design and listening features make it more workout-focused than a basic hook-free in-ear pair, while the buyer feedback suggests comfort and performance can vary. If a low-profile fit or consistently predictable comfort is your priority, compare the shape with other styles before choosing, the specifications alone cannot establish how it will feel in your ears.
