Q-image PG-245XL Black Ink Cartridge 2-Pack for Canon PIXMA Printers

Supplied as a two-cartridge pack, the Q-image PG-245XL provides black ink for everyday printing. Each cartridge has a stated yield of 500 pages at 5% coverage, making this format useful for keeping a replacement ready while continuing to print documents in black.

It’s designed for a range of Canon PIXMA inkjet printers, with compatibility spanning selected MX, MG, TS, TR and iP models.

How it fits

Choose this replacement pack for a compatible printer when you want black ink for general printing, such as letters, forms, schoolwork and other plain-paper documents. The two cartridges give you a spare for a later change, so you can plan replacements around regular printing rather than buying only one cartridge at a time. Check your printer’s model against the compatibility list below before ordering.

The cartridge uses black, water-based ink and is intended for single-colour output. If your printing is mostly text and other black-only material, would a ready-to-use spare make your next replacement simpler? The two-pack format is a practical way to keep the same cartridge type on hand.

Where it shines

The main advantage is the combination of a stated 500-page yield per cartridge and broad compatibility across several Canon PIXMA series. That makes the pack suitable for home or everyday office printing where black documents are a regular task. The yield is measured at 5% coverage, so the number of pages will depend on how much ink each page uses.

Compatibility includes models such as the Canon PIXMA MX490 and MX492, MG2522, TS3320 and TS3322, and TR4520 and TR4522, along with other listed printers. For example, a household printing forms during the week can install one cartridge and keep the second available for the next replacement. Compared with purchasing a single cartridge at a time, this pack is oriented towards having a matching spare ready, a single-cartridge purchase may suit someone who prefers to replace one at a time.
