Handeful HFEH17BKAA Grip Strength Dynamometer, 397 lb, 19 Profiles

Athletes, rehabilitation users and clinics that need a clear way to measure grip strength can use the Handeful HFEH17BKAA to record readings across a broad range.

Its 0.2 lb precision and maximum capacity of 397 lb suit strength checks that may go beyond the 198 lb capacity also listed for this tester.

With profiles for up to 19 users, it can serve a sports team, therapy setting or household without treating every reading as a one-person record.

Tech summary

The dynamometer combines measurement with on-device tracking, making it useful for repeat checks as well as a single reading. Its display presents the grip value in lbs or kg, the selected user profile, a strength rating and the maximum record. The device can also show whether a reading has improved or declined since the previous test for that profile.

• Measurement range: 2.2–397 lb
• Precision: 0.2 lb
• Capacity figures: 198 lb and 397 lb

For a coach or therapist, user profiles help keep readings organized across several people. At home, a person can return to the same profile for subsequent tests and view the change from the previous result. Buyers have praised the measurement accuracy, and some describe the device as enjoyable to use socially, views on suitability and grip are mixed. The display’s profile and previous-reading information are practical features for anyone who wants to follow changes rather than simply squeeze and move on.

Tips for day-to-day use

Select the relevant user profile before testing so that the reading is associated with the intended person. Use the same profile for later checks to see the device’s comparison with that profile’s previous result. The adjustable curved handle is designed to accommodate hand sizes from youth athletes to adults, and the 400 g weight makes the tester easy to carry between home, a gym and a clinic.

In a team or therapy setting, the stored profiles can help keep individual readings distinct during a session. For a simple home check, the backlit display brings the measurement, strength rating and maximum record together on one screen. Compared with a basic single-user grip tester, this model puts multi-user tracking and previous-reading comparisons directly into the testing device, that is useful when several people share it or when repeat readings matter.

Box contents

The package includes the digital grip strength dynamometer and 2 AAA batteries, so it can be used without first sourcing those batteries. Its black plastic body and portable 400 g design suit moving it between testing locations, while the adjustable handle supports use by different hand sizes.

Buying verdict

Choose the Handeful HFEH17BKAA when grip-strength readings need to be easy to view and useful across repeated tests or multiple users. The 397 lb maximum range, 0.2 lb precision, 19 profiles and on-screen change indicator bring measurement and progress tracking together for sports, therapy and home use. You’ll like it if a shared tester with individual profiles is more useful than a simple grip-strength tool that only provides a reading.
